Small info from the ic2c dev. EU tooltips only show up when you have a EUReader Equipped (hotbar). Same as crop tooltips only show up if you have a cropscanner in your hotbar. Edit 1: The crop matron is actually a water source block if you feed it water, so farmlands stay wet when you put it in the center of the crop field. Edit 2: IC2Classic does have buildcraft tubes. Also your sapling tree is now dead it will never grow. The effect last for 5 min and then you can either use reviving fertilizer or break/replace the cropstick. The Overgrowth fertilizer is actually really good for breeding. Because you get through so many more iterations, since only the output needs the overgrowth fertilizer. (The reviving fertilizer was actually me being nice after so many requests for it were done because people lost their best crops on it) Edit 3: The charging bench is actually new, the sorted mode lets you quick shift your main inventory slots. Also if you don't know what goes into a inventory slot just press the "i" button in any ic2c machine. It shows you what goes into any slot. Anyways video over :)

Yo the underground system is pretty cool! I love how most of the map is already pre-built!

In the server I'm playing in, the crops keep changing magically, one moment I'm growing stanum with the tin block underneath but all of a sudden it changes to coffee or whatever, so growing this crops is pretty grindy and unrewarding, besides it can give lots of yield but I don't like having lots of yield in diamonds one second and the next, lots of yield from a plant I didn't grow......

You can use simple backpacks instead of drawers. if you max stack updates it holds over 2bilion items per slot. Just as infinite farming storage

Ah yes, FE conversion and having to use a wrench on all the machines- the ONLY two things I do not miss about IC2. Everything else GOLD. Cannot tell you just how many machines I accidentally destroyed because this one particular mod absolutely refuses to fall in line with every other mod when it comes to picking up blocks. I wish they'd try an option to go the route of Create where using a wrench was encourage with instant pickup rather than punishing a person for forgetting and using a pickaxe 😆

@@Kraus- I did at one time get to ask one of the devs why they did it this way, and at least their response was brutally honest and funny. Was something to the tune of "Have YOU ever taken a pickaxe to complex piece of machinery before? How'd it work out for you?" They explained they know we're not looking for realism in video games, but at least there's a small chance the machine will drop in tact, and that they didn't make us disassemble it piece by piece. Yes, very much masochism 😆

You're not breaking it down to individual parts with the wrench or pickaxe. Just picking up the entire block. Good effort on making lore, but it's a lame feature.

Electrodynamics seems like it was inspired by Magneticraft, but the curseforge page doesn't have any attribution. I wonder if they're similar? (I really liked Magneticraft.) Have you considered the immersive engineering floodlights? Don't know if you have access yet, but it seems on-theme, and they would definitely brighten things up.

Nah the inspiration was apparently the old Voltz modpack which just to really hurt was built for 1.5.2 originally, it and Ampz are both efforts to try to bring back a pretty unique modpack to a more recent MC build.

@@cericat Interesting. I wonder if Magneticraft was inspired by Universal Electricity, then. They both use J-A-V power systems with automatic conversion, and the one-block machines look similar. I'd like to play an industrial modpack with a proper Magneticraft implementation as its core mod. Ad Astra 2 came close, but it just didn't have enough substance.

I think the reason they both use joules amps and volts is because those are real terms for electrical stuff.

@@Kraus- It's not just that they're real metric units. They're actually implemented realistically, by applying Ohm's Law. Transfer rate (and direction) depend on the voltage difference and power stored is the product of voltage and amperage. I've played enough mods to know that this is wildly unusual. Plenty of mods implement Joules/Volts/Amps (I'm looking at you, GregTech!), but I can't think of a third mod that does this realistically. I could be misremembering, but I think also have basically the same power UI. ---------- I think I found the "shared inspiration". Apparently, this is based off of redpower 2s "bluetricity".

Update the pack, any works now. They fixed the issue where it was just IC2 Aluminum.

@@Systemcollapse I just had to be smarter than the machine and get the tin block to be the IC2 block. It said it in the quest, but I missed it the first time I read it. Thanks for replying... The pack is awesome and you put out great videos....

Funny, you got problems getting light level up, I had problems getting light level down. For those glowstone seeds I tried an enclosed room just with redstone torches but whole area still has light level 12. Wonder if there are invisible lights in that farm area. Or maybe I forgot some diagonal block somewhere, have to recheck the build.

There are invisible lights. fill the space with dirt and then dig it up. Also when I switched to the nether and back the light level was high again. Pressed the button on the simulation machine and it updated lighting properly.
