Jason Cleere, an Associate Professor with Texas A&M Agrilife Extension, discusses the Texas A&M Beef Cattle Short Course, a highly attended educational program with a history of over 80 years. The course aims to address the diverse needs of beef cattle ranchers through a variety of sessions covering animal nutrition, genetics, marketing, and management. It caters to both novice and experienced ranchers, recognizing the significant role of small producers who make up the majority in Texas. Each year, over 1,700 participants seek to enhance their skills and adopt new technologies to improve efficiency and stewardship in the beef cattle industry.
