Great Video. It helped me solve two problems. 1st one is why I could not find my call sign on APRS.fi, it turned out to the baud rate 1200. 2nd was why I could not see my own tx beacon status. Found out after playing with it, if you alter the default tx message it will show up on the s.list when sent.

Do I need to keep the radio on the APRS frequency or can I change it and when it transmits it will jump back to the correct one?

Great video. But I have a question. I was running APRSDROID app on my phone and it is populating routers and other objects with freq information. But I noticed of I look at the S List on the ftm-400 I can see the exact object I saw on the phone but it doesn't list the frequency information has all the other info distance, power, GPS, etc. So far the only objects in my list that show frequency is other ftm-400 units. can't figure out what I'm missing.

The video is good but his voice is so soft and the level is very low & faint making listening very difficult. It makes me wonder what why and do they ever listen to their own recordings.

The manuals are appalling as with all tech gear it’s written by the software engineers (who are weird anyway) producers and not people/users for out of the box operation.

Stop going back to the main screen. There's no reason for it, makes the video longer than necessary and is annoying.
