Hello from the US. I just found your videos. I’ve had the radio for a couple of years. Your videos have really helped me better understand the operation of the radio. Well done and thank you!

Very nice overview. I'm slowly getting all the parts for the power supply, antenna, etc. for both mobile (in 2 vehicles) and base use here in AZ, USA. I'm a novice radio operator for the Red Cross EmComms group in my retirement. Enjoying all the learning and messing. So far I really enjoy this radio in its functionality and displays. Also learning DMR with an Anytone. Thanks much, Barry..

Thank you for this video, looks like a great radio to get into. What blows my mind is how how poorly the interfaces of these radios are built with all of the modern technologies surrounding us. A cheap $75 prepaid smartphone offers 10 times better the interface and more modern display/touch input technologies than a $600 radio. That cheap smartphone can automatically set display brightness depending on ambient surrounding light while this $600 radio will blind your eyeballs out until you take 3 steps to dim it down.

I recognise your voice. I think I had a QSO with you on either Folkstone repeater or maybe Looe in cornwall via echolink about 2 weeks ago. 73's Barry - 2M1VFO.

I'm curious how you have the head mounted so firmly. I almost bought one and then saw a video of someone chasing the head unit all over his desk then holding the unit and dropping it. I wish it were mountable to the main body.
@jaybarr33074 жыл бұрын
There's a couple of different desk mount available for this. Also, several of the car mounts would work, even the ones with suction cups if your surface was smooth enough.

When I saw you save your SD card, you had the option of memories. What I would like to know can I create memories for different cities and load them from the memory card and gives them name like the cities or area they represent? And can you create these files in like a cvs file on a computer.

@barry2e0dts9 жыл бұрын
+Davidgough27 No Fusion is C4FM not DMR. DMR is on my TYT MD-380 look it up on the net. The repeater here in Folkestone GB7CF is Fusion (digital) and analonge. And here in Folkestone we have GB7CK thats is DMR. And here in Folkestone we have GB3FK 2 meter analoge FM. And also we have Dstar (GB7FK)
