As a non-NF, this video makes a lot of sense, and I'd love to see the shortcomings of the STs and what not.

I’m an INFJ and yeah ST types particularly Si doms always seem to have black and white thinking. I see it in the medical field a lot and it actually drives me nuts because I see soooo many shades of grey. I think an Ni doms worst nightmare is an ISTJ asking for details 😂 lol

Shortcomings of ST are so weird cuz on one hand they’re so far down this rabbit hole of seeking “truth through data” (T through S) but on the other hand, constantly failing to realise the importance of “vibes and connections” (NF)… so yk how you see NFs do this weird shit of prioritising “vibe” or “harmony” either for themselves or for others all the time, neglecting the actual pragmatism of that and… well.. the ST side of things lmao. People who are ST are doing the exact same thing, just the other way round, NEGLECTING the vibe/harmony bullshit FOR THE SAKE OF “truth through data”… obviously this doesn’t work lmao, the more ST you go, the LESS truth you actually get- yeah yeah weird counterintuitive shit I know… bottom line is that there’s different types of delusion and you need ALL YOUR FUNCTIONS to escape that delusion, and whether that’s ST delusion or NF delusion- that’s your job to figure out, so yeah real good stuff Edit: Goddamn I gotta start making videos on this shit, this is fun lmao 😂

@@eloffskiI mean I don’t know about the whole “impediment to truth” thing but missing the vibes, definitely, that’s the main thing I think. Like not realizing that you’re killing the vibe or making everyone mad. The most obvious example would be just like an ST guy stating the facts in a really blunt, impolite way, especially when you’re in a more emotional or sensitive situation where that’s not appropriate. Not reading the room/reading the vibes. So just like Sam here getting caught on the ST, an ST-savior would eventually get confronted about it and get asked something like “didn’t you see how you were ruining the vibe for everyone?” And they would probably be like “I… uh… wasn’t thinking about that at the time I guess… I don’t know…” They really weren’t tracking the NF at the time even when it seems so plainly obvious and basic to everyone else, just like Sam forgetting about the ST to such a degree that others assume he must just be lying.

@@ethanpintar5454 the whole impediment to truth thing basically just highlights the fact that you need N just as much as you need S, and only seeking S has just as many problems as only seeking N. Cuz with overdominent N you’re plotting lines of best fit with no dots on a graph, and with overdominent S you’re plotting each fucking dot to the micrometer and not seeing the obvious trend, so you’re still missing *truth* despite the empiricism. Basically-> data itself (S) and having perfect methods of achieving that (T) mean nothing (F) without the connections in said data (N)

These videos and personality research have helped me empathize with people (and myself) more. If you're not aware of this stuff, people sucking at X can be baffling and hard to understand. It's very easy to assume malicious intent since there's no WAY in HELL a person can be that bad at X, they must be up to something. Realizing that a person can really suck that much at X is a freeing feeling that promotes empathy. Then it gets much funnier when you realize how much you suck at Y.

In my experience, some NFs do have the tendency to lie in their self interest, and they do it without realising it. Because they don't have a grip on the ST world, facts elude them and they fit them according to their biases. And when you try to address the incongruences, they feel attacked because they didn't intend to lie, but fact is they did, and and someone had to pay for it because they didn't take responsibility over ST.

Being a ST I am looking at this guy as, why was this NF guy even involved in multi-billion dollar money ventures of any type much less billions of other people's money. Obviously at least subconsciously his ST knew the problems he was in but the situation with so much easy money at his finger tips he was willing to keep going with it. He must responsibly repay the people he scammed. Another valid way to look at this though is people willing to allow another scam them need to loose all of their money. Just the way the world works.

As an NT, the more this guy said 'I'm sorry' and 'I should have taken more responsibility' the more he sounded to me like he was missing the gravity of the situation and just wanted to appease his interviewer/the public like apologizing to his parents.

Imagine, an unregulated crypto business headquartered in the Bahamas...managed by a 30 year old? No amount of celeb endorsement could get me on that train. Gross negligence for sure, but there's probably enough evidence for fraud. But hindsight is 20-20. I just want to make a solid plug for the audit function, for enterprise risk management, internal controls--that sort of thing.

@@mia_f There is a great deal of evidence to show that he knowingly took customer funds (for which he was a custodian via his cryptoexchange) and made illegal loans/investments to himself, his cronies, and his hedge fund, which effectively turned the exchange into a giant ponzi scheme. His trial is ongoing and several of his former co-workers have testified against him.

This is an incredibly disappointing video. Dave is missing the critical context of earlier interviews where Sam is much more confident (and unchallenged by the interviewer) while giving technobabble explanations that are complicated and incoherent. As long as the interviewer doesn't push back, he's happy to spin a web of lies and the dithering that Dave is pointing out is completely absent. The NF traits that Dave is supposedly seeing are signs of distress at being caught in a lie. That is different from what Dave is describing (which admittedly I feel as an NF when I am questioned). SBF had been telling such similar lies for so long that the interviewers grew more sophisticated (Stephanapoulos and Coffeezilla and now prosecutors ) and have been able to pick away at his facade. That's not an NF thing. That's a human being caught lying. The more interesting trait here is the overconfidence with which Sam kept giving interviews against his lawyers' advice. The evidence emerging in the trial suggests that SBF was the puppet master behind the ponzi scheme, which the other employees doing his bidding (e.g., illegally repurposing customer funds, whipping up doctored financial statements).

I kind of suspect Coffee is NF too. That said, I believe Dave is being too easy on Sam. Sam was grossly negligent with billions that belonged to others and he is going to have to take accountability for what happened. Sam being NF and demon whatever might explain why he ruined his life and hurt other people in the specific manner that he did, but it is not an excuse.
