I've been in the bunker since 2018 when my crash happened (I was 20 years old)..... I have been counting the years ever since "isn't this too much time to take off from life?"..... I am glad Dave acknowledged it can take that long. Thanks so much.... My reemergence has been and still is being very slow... But damn! I love love love the person I am becoming..... If only the process weren't so painfully slow, lol

It's funny how the typical 'mbti community' descriptions of ESTJs, and ENTJs in particular, are actually descriptions of social type #1 traits. Was Napoleon Bonaparte really an ENTJ? Not necessarily. Was he a #1? Very probably.

Thank you for this! I left my entire life behind about a year ago and have felt so bad about not being able to rebuild my life yet. So much shit has happened and continues to happen. I'm building something, but other shit keeps coming up and I have to go deal with that. But now I know this is meant to happen, and it's good, and that if I keep sorting through my stuff, I'll come out of it better. What a relief. Thank you for making these and reminding me/us that the crashes are okay

This is a really good video. I’ve been pressuring myself and feeling guilty for taking time for me but it doesn’t change the fact that I still end up taking time for me. So I can see how it takes way longer cuz I’m just beating myself up over doing something I want.

Integrating the self growth talk with how the socials manifest makes a lot of sense. Makes it land much better with people like me who can find the way people talk about self growth kinda vague and wishy-washy in a lot of cases. I've definitely never had this type of life problem - going too hard and then not stopping when it's enough money - but it's interesting to hear the analysis. And I might have it in another area that isn't money.

How does one take time off? Does it mean you stop working too? (Because that's what you usually want/need when you're burnt out) and in that case, how do you survive finantially? Does everyone get to do that? (I'm not being cynical, I'm just afraid I might need that and not have any opportunity to do that) Does that mean going back to living with your parents? Or depending entirely on a partner, and overloading them? How is this partner going to see you after some time? Won't they see you as lazy, or a failure or a burden at some point? Won't they be frustrated and burned out themselves? I'm genuinely asking, how exactly does one get time off for months like that? I'm about to be 24 years old, if that gives you some context, and I'm starting to do a concerning amount of things at the same time now to try to survive and to keep my goal of seeking my career... but what if I burn out? My parents can't support me by themselves at this moment, and who knows when they will. I guess I can't take time off?
