I “shoegooed” my Cliffhanger completely and used glass fiber drywall tape, it added 20g of weight. The body is now at 130g and almost indestructible, good for practicing weird lines😅

Oh hey Bouncing, so pleased to see you over here watching my stuff. I did see on the forum that someone had done the whole shell on one of these but it added so much weight up top I chose not to do it for the gains lol I do now kinda wish my body wasn't falling to bits though. I just stuck an esc70 fr9m isdt and a 35 turn 550 motor in mine, not the fastest beast now but honestly the torque is mental.

Other than outer cable moving on diff locks(Easy fix) mine has been absolutely brilliant, I'm not upgrading wheels and tyres till stock ones have had time to run in.

That cable to the front diff seems a little short to me.. just had same problem on my Gladius that a bought a few days ago..

Great video.....plenty of food for thought for mine. Think I need to get brave for some of those mods though lol. Just lost the 2 speed option in mine cos servo aint up for it or its just stuck somehow. My diffs are locked cos the mechanism was a pain in the butt so locked them up. I need to look at my shocks cos they dont seem to be flexible or move as easy as yours do in video. I like the look of your shock set up but dont know if I'm brave enough to take it on lol and I need to move all the electrics about ... all my stuff is still up the front.....quite a lot of adjustment

Hey Frank, I hope the video is of use. Not everything in the video is essential, but these mods have made it better performance wise. It really depends on what you want from your rig. Sounds like we have the same issue in the two speed. As I said in the video I might just get a genuine Traxxas Sport gearbox for it.

The outer cable came away from the axle which enables the diff lock, i slid my outer cable back upto axle and this resolved my diff lick issues. hope this helps👍

The Gladius is nice truck , FTX seem to be hit or miss with trucks they either get them spot on ie outback tracker or dare I say the FTX kanyon so bad this sits somewhere in the middle . Nice video

Those FTXs are RGT originally, are they not. I know a lot of them are, at least.

A lot of them are, this might be the exception. I think it is made by Mega RC know as the Rock Viper. Nice to see you and Bouncingnoise over here watching my stuff (Dollar Store Crawler Canyon) lol
