I today received the big block, brass claw, red springs and this Trem Stopper. Unbelievable customer service and quality of the parts are top notch. Will be installing all very soon. Thanks Adam for the informative videos, please keep doing more of them. Appreciate you Brother.

Just did a total overhaul. Big block, Trem Stopper, brass claw, red springs, stainless saddle and nut screws and Titanium string blocks on my Schecter C1 Hellraiser with EMG81 and Sustainiac pickups with a Floyd Rose 1500 series bridge. Guitar sounds great, plays better and is much more stable with the Trem Stopper. Thanks Adam keep up the good work!!

Hey all! I'm worried about screws coming through the pickup area when I mount it. Any thoughts on this? Scares me to death- I have a custom guitar.
@christopherhorton4634 Жыл бұрын
These are not just good for making your guitar a "hardtail". You can also use it for string changes. Just screw the trem stopper into the block, remibe strings, re string the guitar, and then back out the trem stopper screw. Most of us keep the backplate off anyway. Its simple, and saves the headache of blocking the trem another way.❤

I have a G&L Legacy with 3 trem springs and you can't install this in the center of the trem block. Will it work if installed to either side of the center spring? I like the way the guitar plays with 3 springs and 11 gauge strings so I don't want to remove a spring. Thanks, this looks like a great product.

I have a floating Floyd Rose and want to use only two springs to install this stopper, but the trem just stands up because of the reduced tension of going from 3 to 2 springs. What can I do?

The beauty of this device for us guitarist's that do prefer a full floating tremolo, this device allows us to secure our terms perfectly level during adjustments, string changes or spring tension experiments. I'll add using a trem stopper not only allows tuning stability to double stop bends and depending on spring tension will keep the guitar in tune if the high E string breaks and the use of D-tuning devices for selecting a Droped D tuning using one guitar and possibly other strings breaking during a live performance. When playing our guitars count the most. Every other point you mentioned is completely correct. Now myself and other professional lead guitarist I've encountered can compensate for the lack of tuning stability during any double stop bend by squeezing the unbent strings bringing them to proper pitch and intonation. Having a perfectly setup and intonated guitar doesn't mean the person playing said guitar can play music with perfect intonation. Btw, prefer a scalloped fretboard as well which complicates this for some players that don't have complete control of how hard the grip and play notes. Yet another aspect of control with the guitar to be mastered.

Ok I'm sold because yu spent time showing how to do that. Matter of fact I would like to also purchase one of your beefy brass blocks to my existing Floy Rose 1000 that is on my Charvel San Dimas Pro Mod style 1. Can yu recommend to me which one I'm supposed to get. I ask because I saw one of your products that have the L knotch on it and others that don't. Not sure which one I'm supposed to utilize for the mod. Please reco.mend.. Thanks! PS, The reason I'm utilizing your trem stop is because I want to install D tuna to my recessed style bridge

People, this is all well and good, but just remember w/any device like this... LOOK where it's located!! It's on the FORWARD side of the spring block, towards the neck/nut. When you bend the trem block inside the routed cavity wants to pull BACK. Your trem springs will need to be tightened CONSIDERABLY, to HOLD the trem ass'y against this stopper, to keep the trem block from pulling AWAY ( toward the back/bridge) when you bend. So the feel when you dive is gonna B much tighter. Know that going in.

If the bridge is floating off of the body, will this keep it stable and only allow dives? The bridge on my guitar pretty much has to be off the body to get a good angle to to the nut, I just want to stabilize it and make it dive only. If I lower the bridge I think I'm going to have too low of an action, and possibly fret out on some bends higher up the neck. I use light gauge strings and tune down a half step on this particular guitar.

What is Gaff tape? What else could I use in its place. I have the trem stopper installed and all is well. Except when I bend a note on the bottom 3 strings. I hear a clunk.
@robertcamp5667 Жыл бұрын
Gaff tape is kind of an awesome strong sticky black tape that works very similar to duct tape. Its just to cushion the impact between the two pieces of metal to stop the noise. With the tape there as a cushion you might not hear the clunking anymore, however as someone mentioned above, if you don't increase your spring tension after installing the stop, you will likely be pulling the block away from the stop when you are bending on the heavier strings which sounds like what you are experiencing. Increasing spring tension might stop this but at the cost of increased force needed to pull the whammy bar down. Life is full of compromises!

I have several evh guitars. Both Peavey and Fender EVH. Often times when I use the D tuna it will send some of the other strings just slightly sharp or flat. Do you think the Trem Stopper will help with this? It seems like it couldn’t hurt if it stabilizes the bridge

If you need the "Tremolo Stopper", so your should not buy a guitar that have Tremolo in the first place. It is this device confusing enough for you? Just like they put a mic in front of another speaker so you can get the sound out of other speaker.🙂
@FloydUpgrades Жыл бұрын
That makes no sense at all. Some players like to have the tremolo set for dive only (I know more than a few pros that are set up like this.) - It also allows you to rest your hand on the bridge without raising pitch. It's just an option. Thanks for your feedback.

I’m wondering what the screw thread and nut size is too! I need to modify it a bit because my 37mm block is too short for this unit to work (and the 42mm to long to fit in my cavity) so I’m looking for a flat threaded cap to add to the end of my screw after the locking nut
