Thanks for another action packed posting. It is so helpful to see the brushes side by side. Timely too as AliExpress is having an 11th anniversary sale with even lower prices. After your unboxing video, I ordered saibikuho brushes from both the SSL Black Onyx line as well as Qinzhi Pehonix. They are gorgeous The Phoenix saibikuho brushes have hair that is a grade up from the SSL, finer, softer and whiter but they are all exquisite. I am beyond thrilled with them as the large face brushes came packed with a lot of precious hair and the handles are works of art. By contrast, I was let down by Chikuhodo's recent Honor Kazan brushes. Wispy, skimpy hairs and the handle left me feeling they were blah. Japanese austerity and simplicity is nice (I'm Japanese) but I prefer the more robust aesthetics or the Chinese brushes. Could be the effect of months of lockdown...anyway, just placed another Chinese brush order. The prices are a treat as are the free to minimal shipping costs. I like that you are so exacting. I figure if it meets your meticulous standards, they will more than live up to mine. You rock!

I'm also happy to hear that you're beyond thrilled with the SSL and Qin brushes you've purchased. I do love that those brands are generous with their hairs and don't skimp. Also definitely loving how the Chinese brands are using various gorgeous woods for their handles like rosewood and rose gold ferrules. Sorry to hear that you were that disappointed by Chikuhodo's Homare series. I think they are a nice series overall but perhaps some people don't feel that they are as luxurious as they had hoped, especially with the weight of the wood handles and quality control issues.

@@kaorurl7039 I’m not sure when they “normally” do. I’m new to the website but right now they are having their anniversary sale. A lot of brushes are 20-30% off already pretty reasonable prices. I find I have to wash my Chinese artisan brushes a few times before using them-FYI.

Thank you for doing these Chinese brand brush videos. I started with Chinese brushes and migrated to Japanese Fude and now recently buying the Shou Shou Lang and QinZhi options on AliExpress. I'm really happy with my brushes from these series and the others..

I just went to Ali-express, SSL is 25% off while Qin Zhi is 30% off. I know at least Qin Zhi has sales (around 30% off) on Taobao in November for "Singles' Day". I didn't get to compare the prices between Taobao and Ali-express, hopefully they are similar enough! I'm also sort of hoping the exchange rate will be more favorable 😆. In any case I'm trying my best to stay calm.

When you compared the LL01 to Qin phoenix 101, which is softer or better quality? Also you said the Zuvmor line is softer than the green line in the zuvmor intro, but during individual brush reviews you mention some green line being softer than the zuvmor. I just want to confirm I didn't hear wrong! Thank you ♥️

@csskkai I just replied to someone else who asked about the Phoenix 101 and mentioned they're both great and soft but my particular LL01 is smoother. As for the Zuvmor and Green lines, they're both soft with a minimal difference between the two but some of the Green brushes are a tad softer than the Zuvmor while I feel the Zuvmor is softer overall as a whole. I did also mention that I initially thought the Zuvmor #1 was softer than the LL01 but the LL01 is softer now. Hope this helps!
