Dude! Props on your instructional video. You gave perfect info, great images of what we needed to see, and used a camera on a stand or tripod. Those are three things that most other KZbin videos lack. Most hold their phone with one hand and attempt to work with the other. Most give lousy narration. Most leave out the parts we really need to see. Please do more as I’m currently in the market for a used Bayliner 3788 and want to do my own survey and my own maintenance. I’ve worked on gas engines most of my life and believe I’ll pickup the required diesel knowledge that I need pretty quickly. Oh, and how the hell are you getting away with a Pink Floyd song and not snubbed by KZbin?

How was it that you extended the fuel supply and fuel return lines?? Barbs and clamps??

Are you sure its 315 horsepower. My specs say 205 horsepower. Also, how are you going to pay off Pink Floyd when they sue you into the dirt ?

What on God's green earth could have been blocking your cooler that bad. I think it was just a bad hose stretching more than the other and you had a bunch of impeller pieces on the bottom side of the aftercooler. Regardless I understand not needing them on a 330 horsepower application as long as you keep enough fuel in the tanks. However I think you should add them to your video during your recommendation of blowing air through the return that they pull their fuel fill cap off the tank so that if using an air compressor they don't split the tank open. In addition to that I don't know why unless somebody put a draw tube on your return as well you would ever hear bubbling through your return unless your tanks were slapped full technically you want all of the return fuel to fall on top of the fuel in the tank quickly dispersing the air bubbles created by agitation of circulating fuel. Rather than injecting all of those bubbles into the bottom of your tank presumably right next to the draw tube.

@@diydieselrepairandmaintena7390 i look forward to it. I just know the suggestion it was the cooler is 99.9% inadequate. The only way to blow the fuel pressure side of the cooler up enough to restrict water would be fuel freezing wich doesnt happen until -30° Celsius. So highly unlikely. Or way to high of fuel pressure ballooning the thing. In any event their isnt enough metal to allow it to happen prior to tearing. Or at minimum blowing up the induction brazed where the fittings are installed... The new seawater pump makes me consider the aftercooler could be chalked full of impellar parts. Old zincs. Corrosion and god knows what else.
