Good work. And I agree with you. Completely restoring a car is thousands of little things. I've done it a few times. But never again. Most people don't understand how complicated it really is. I also tried to have a restoration business do one for me. That didn't work out real well. As a result, no more big projects for me.

Beautiful coronet, I like the convienient windshield exit to adjust any engine settings 😅

I like the 'ground sniffer' stance. If it were mine though, I would probably be trying to drop it until everything was scrapping and rubbing. That is top-notch work y'all are doing.

Thank you! We don’t want it quite that dirt nasty low. Haha. The rear is strangely high for some reason. It will definitely have some rake when we’re done - but likely a little less.

My dad had a 66’ 500 that we never got to restore. Cool seeing this one done up right. That grey is phenomenal! Always loved the body lines of those years. The reach through the windshield on the throttle was awesome 😂🤘🏻

Getting closer-really nice. Almost sounds like an Oscilloscope could be useful for the shop if modern computer-based systems are being used- square wave, sine wave, or gibberish, it would be easier to sort out hopefully.

Funny, that’s exactly what I said during the RPM reading debacle. I used to have a really nice scanner with a built in scope but I let that go during the shop closing debacle.

Absolutely nothing against this Coronet, I own two 66 and 67 and this one is nicer than mine, but a butt stipe on this body style is absolutely haineous. Seen em on Chargers of the same era, and it's even worse. I think they hurt the flow of the body lines. 68 and later, I'm a fan, ad a wing, great!.......Wait is there going to be a spoiler too.😳. Keep up the great content.
@DeadDodgeGarage Жыл бұрын
No spoiler. And… I really, really agree with you. *Especially* with the 500 trim. And on the early Charger… yuck. This sure wasn’t my choice. I don’t think it looks totally horrible, but it sure ain’t right. I seriously love factory stripes on the bodies they were intended for. Like the ‘68 Charger R/T stripe, or the stripe on the Swinger. Even if a car isn’t supposed to have it from factory (like mine,) I really like those. But other stripes, random aftermarket designs, stripes off of other body styles… it’s a no from me.

I don’t think he spent all of that money on the complete Sniper system, support fuel system, and installation to throw it in the garbage… it still needs some fine tuning but works pretty well. There’s nothing like adjusting the timing curve by poking a couple buttons.
@jeffreybrianring6392 Жыл бұрын
Don't start any easier than a carbureted engine, u couldn't run fast enough to give me that injection setup.
@DeadDodgeGarage Жыл бұрын
That’s fine. I haven’t installed the one I got with a car either. My three Edelbrock-equipped Mopars start great. The Sniper was the customer’s call, not mine. It takes a bit to figure out, but the one thing I will say is, hitting a button to richen fuel, adjust timing or change rev limiter is a whole lot faster and easier than swapping needles, jets, springs, or breaking out the timing light.
