Thanks for the vid, I was skeptical but desperate, with an 07 Rendevous with "2" pinhole leaks, this worked well. It's a temporary solution until I can replace the line.

I did this and it worked ok- but it eventually seeped around the hole. I wonder if I should do another repair at the seep site?

Why the tin foil? I’m back and forth on this. My fuel line is plastic with ridges in it and the squirrel chewed a couple puncture holes. Also the silk tape is like plumbers tape correct? Thanks for the info!
@stripecatflippangitnamecha87212 жыл бұрын
@@suehon4608 thin foil so the glue don't go inside the hole. I mean if it's just crack I don't think u need the thin foil as long the sorounding area is dry. Maybe use a sand paper to scratch the sorounding area so the jb weld can bite. I mean Mine still work no issues as of now. The reason why I used thin foil because the area where I put the patch had an open crack so I was worried if I don't put thin foil the jbweld might go inside while still wet and mix with the fuel and clog the fuel injector.

Instead of tin foil and teflon tape, you could use aluminum tape. Simple

To be honest! I found this video because I was looking for how to fix that exact hole in my fuel line BY SOLDERING, I DID DO the JB Weld and after 6 months the fuel ate through and dissolved some JB Weld and started leaking AGAIN MORE! I build drones and solder wires and electronics, and my hole is so small, ONE solder melt will close it... and that's why I'm looking into that. I AM NOT SAYING do this if you're in the USA, it is not legal to do it, you have to SPEND money and pay for a new line. I don't do videos and I'm not saying this to look for followers and clicks, if you're doing this or need more info, just let me know by responding to this message and I'll tell you if and how it worked best. Thank YOU ALL, and good luck with your stupid little fuel line hole! ;)

You do realize the only thing jb weld doesn't work well on is rubber hose. I mean it's smart but something other than rubber
@stripecatflippangitnamecha8721 Жыл бұрын
Actually I made another fix Using Fuel Robber hose works better but JB weld works too but it's messy, But I prepared using fuel hose end to end. I stop making videos my computer broken and I get lazy. But if you want me I can make a video how I fix my fuel line using fuel hose no double flaring needed.
