Any reason why u went turbo instead of supercharger? Looking for ideas on which way to go with new build.

Makes better power and I don’t have to deal with belt slip. For most people supercharger is better because it doesn’t require fabrication.

been following you for a minute now. i'm about to begin the turbo phase on my 5.9 jeep ZJ. just finished the full return -8 system with a 525 in-tank (stock) and a full flex tune up. 850cc bosch's on 43.5psi. On gas duty cycle @330whp went from mid 90's to mid 30's. on 82-83% E it was around 50%DC. lost about 20 horse but we found it back with nearly 40 degrees on the top, as opposed to 31-32 on gas. now it's ready for boost. love to see your stock bottom end truck hold up to the punishment, gives me confidence (also SBE, 160K miles). I don't think many people know the 5.9 can be a junkyard gem so let's keep quiet and keep the cost low. Let me know if you need some advice on a flex tune because i know you mentioned you drive it on the street a lot lately (same for me), and you don't gotta worry about not finding E when you're out and about, it'll take gas just fine too. I copied the general motors design and it works fantastically with a dual table system (MS3pro evo). Can still go out to dinner without the laptop in the truck if ya get what i'm sayin. Love the build bud, sweet truck. i got a couple short videos posted of the 5.9 jeep. it's a T56 6 speed 4x4 conversion with some custom suspension and wilwoods. mid-range torque NA build. air-to-water cooled turbo ethanol system in the works... precision 6266 on a .96 waiting to go on. what do you think of that size for this motor? spicy 10's-11's running street car is the goal some day but it might require forged/r3w9 to get there for me. shooting for 5-600 all wheel hp for now and no more torque than that in order to keep the bottom end happy. 3900-ish lbs with a 36lb flywheel and it gets out quick with the 4x4. wondering how much power it will need to crack 10's..

@@toastybuddy8743 I’d go bigger on turbo size. That seems small. I run a 6768 billet front wheel. Check out the Garrett turbo calculator you plug in a bunch of info and it has recommendations. VS racing is also a good choice for Turbos at a reasonable price.

@@ThatTurboDakota yeah i fear it may be a little small too, tried to get a lot of opinions before i bought it and there was a lot of controversy about turboing the cam im using. Just gotta see what it does at this point. I got a stock ford 300 big six that needs boosting, and for that purpose i think its size would be generous if anything… it wont go to waste. thanks for the input man.
