Anyone know how to replace the bolts that are coming up to hold the ring/cover in place? couple of mine were just spinning so I had to cut them off. are they "attached" to the tank?

Sorry couldn’t answer you before you should do it with half of fuel ⛽️ of the tank, but if is full should leak a little bit just clean it with a rag will be nothing serious

I highly recommend you to address the issue, because fuel fumes specifically gas could be a problem in case of any sparks if your problem is like mine is an easy fix that was the problem in my car

hey how's it going bro, im having kinda of a gas pump issue but my car got wet over a rainy day, i need to figure out how the water got in first of all but it wet my seat where the fuel pump goes, no gas smell but my car will start and turn off, plugged it and got codes that my module lost communication with fuel pump

Hey how are you, check the plug that is above the fuel pump sometimes those cables are cut, look for a cut, it can also be the gasoline filter that is inside the tank also about the water getting inside yo need to clean the sunroof hose my was getting water front left side I cleaned it and problem result

Clean the sunroof hose open it you will see 4 holes in the corner throw some water and then put some air you will see watts coming down by the tires

2013 GLK350 4Matic sport 3.5L x204 Hi Christian, About a 6 weeks, I got a check engine light with code P0008A “low fuel pressure,” my mechanic ran a diagnostic and determined that the fuel pump was dropping in pressure. Upon opening the cover where the fuel pump is located he discovered gasoline on top of the fuel pump closing cover coming from the plug. We went ahead and replaced the actual fuel pump, the rubber O ring, the metal and plastic O ring, the fuel modeule cover, the plug, and finally the fuel filter since Mercedes says that by not replacing the fuel filter warranty on the fuel pump will not be granted. The car went back to normal and was running fine for about 2 weeks now. Last night, I was driving on the highway and the check engine light popped back on with the same code. I went ahead and removed the cover from under the seat and discovered gasoline on top of the fuel pump closing cover. Do you have any idea what will be causing this issue? Would a bad or leaky hose cause this issue?

Did the mechanic change the closing cover too?, because in my case I just replaced the closing cover end problem was resolved, cover has a tiny cut that wasn’t available to see it dealer sell it separate

@@Bextortrucker yes, everything was changed from the actual fuel pump to even the plug and pins that connect to the closing cover. The plug and pins were burnt and so was the pins on the closing cover.

The car triggers the fuel cap open with this problem also it releases a fuel smell on the back of the car? Mines trigger "gross leak code" mines 2009 I think maybe it's the same problem

My car was smelling fuel inside the car and leaking also around the tank when the tank is fill up was leaking by that part I changed it

@@AmateurTroll69 the code that shows up to me was P0456 Emission System Leak, when I plugged my reader, also there is a sensor in the right side in front of the back tires maybe should be that one

Yes, I disconnected it for safety issues just in case, because the plug was covered in gasoline in my case
