Nice video. I just removed my original equipment pump and ordered a new one. I believe the gasket goes under the lip of the plastic pump assembly head, not on top of it. That way it will not leak gas and the ring will tighten easier.. That is the way it is on mine.

Gasket goes under the pump. Won’t seal anything on the top
