Nice to have your waffle back, it's always informative, and really helpful when shopping online. As a shorter rider, with a mere 30" inside leg I often find knee armour wafting round my shins, but at a 32" inseam I'm thinking maybe these are the trousers for me.

@@UrbanRiderlondon I'll have to pop in one day and check them out, sure they're not really blend in in public trousers, but they're a lot less conspicuous than the horrible rustling bike pants of old. Can I request an extra for your really useful sizing guides? It'd be great to have the knee protection position (bit of a mouthful) marked on the diagram with a measurement (or range of measurements for adjustable pads) from the waist down. Pretty much all bike pants are too long for me at a 30" inseam, but knowing where the knee protection is makes the difference between taking/rolling up the legs, and having to send back because the knee armour is protecting my shins.

I found the waist a bit tight for the sizing stated so going up a size would be a good idea. Obviously the hip armour makes the waist a bit tighter as well. However the leg diameter fits quite well so that might be a bit baggier if you size up. I did also find the knee pads sitting a little too low when standing but they seem OK with a bent knee on the bike. The fabric is a bit thinner and softer than I expected. I always have problems getting a good fit with any trousers so maybe I’m just not an average shape! Overall they are a nice change from my armoured jeans and I like the sand colour for the summer months.

Great rundown. Do this version have more room in the thigh, or are they still a skinny leg? I found the waist was fine but they were too tight on the quads

Hello, great review. I usually wear a size 31" waist jeans but my thighs are on the thicker side. I always have to wear athletic style pants. Do you recommend sizing up from a 32 to 34 in these pants for thicker thighs?

i have a fuel Fuel Sergeant SAHARA first ver, size 32 and the size was great , so if i want to have the Fuel Sergeant 2 the wax option, do your recommend going with the same size on Fuel Sergeant 1
