Thank you for the review. However I am well impressed with my Rokker Slim Tapered jean. It also has the thin 3DO Ghost protectors, and it looks like a normal jean when you wear it on and off the bike. I also like that there are no metal studs or rivets exposed that could scratch that paint job. I ride in warm to hot climate (West Africa) and the Rokkers also make a huge improvement compared with a normal jean when it comes to breathability. Can’t recommend them enough. Ride safe!

No Bullit either? Single layer, CE2 armour as standard in most pairs, super comfortable and even for the AAA rated versions less by quite a bit than the cheapest ones on this list. Love mine.

If you just trundle around town single layer may be ok. But if you do more serious miles double layer is better, however Hood jean have better size options and can be ordered in any leg length free because not everyone is average size worth a look

Nice presentation. Now, I know you are "urban" rider, presumably as opposed to "touring" rider, but for those of us that sometimes wear larger touring boots, it would be good to know if the legs of these pants are wide enough that you can pull them over the boot (a Daytona for example), as I can with my Rokker Straightfit jeans.

I have found the most important aspect of jeasns purchase is the location on the knee armour once you're sitting on the bike, I've found that a pair I bought a while ago that with the knee bent the armour was just below the knee. I bought 2 pairs of Pando Moto since and they are perfect.

This would have been useful if you'd also covered fitting for guys who have bigger legs/aren't tall and slim. Most of the time my biggest issue with buying riding jeans is trying to pull them past my knees unless I go for an enormous size that swamps my waist. And if I do that the knee armour is down by my shins 👎 Sadly I don't think riding jeans are designed for people who work out

@Urban Rider what boots is the model wearing? they look awesome
Late reply but may be useful if you see it. The boots look great but have 2 problems. 1. The sole is a dirt cheap oem product that you’ll find on many cheaper boots. It looks good but is actually a very thin black rubber layer glued onto the thick plastic base of the boot. The base has moulded lines in the side to look like layers of the sole, but they’re not. You can pause the video as the rider dismounts and see the light brown plastic showing through already. Always look for a rubber sole that will last as long as the leather upper. 2. Laces only, no side zip (that I could see). Drives you mad.
