The placards are wrong. 1202 is gas oil with a flash point below 100° making it a flammable, not a combustable. The placards with the white bottoms indicate a combustible (flash point over 100° .

This is what happens when people are making decisions that don’t have the experience. You guys could’ve had that loaded and gone. Really dislike the way they’re treating the little guy that’s just the middle man waiting for the vac truck, how’s he supposed to know the exact roads his guy is taking to get there? Traffic has to be a total mess and the guys in a truck. Always great work by you and the team. 👍

they gave a eta and were late. its very important to open up the freeway as soon as possible. its better to give an OVER estimate eta than an exact. watched another video where the state government got involved in asking why the freeway was still closed. as a truck driver, i mainly drive at night, i pass by so many accidents that the general public doesnt know, only because its cleaned up quickly - unless its fatal, then they have to do an investigation on scene

No reason not to with the proper equipment in the proper situation either, but id argue when the offload truck is stuck in traffics and hours behind something has to be done.

@@towtruckaj Yes, agreed. I believe Alex was proposing that they just tow the loaded burned tanker, as long as it wasn't leaking. It would have been much faster. However, FD has it's rules.

@@IceColdGeico At the end of the day as tow operators we really don't care, we can do things however they need to be done to work around other agencies and we bill by the hour, If they want us waiting for hours to do it a specific way, so be it... Just isn't so beneficial to the customer nor the motoring public stuck on the interstate for multiple hours when it could have been done it 30 minutes, But at the end of the day we have to work with other agencies not against them so fire, police, engineers office, dot, etc we all work together for the greater good.

One of the more interesting videos you have made as there were many agencies involved. Although a person has a part 107 drone license, we may not fly over emergency crews without a waiver. Glad you are able to do that without all the waiver delays.

You got to have a lot of patience when doing this job for sure. Despite some of the bureaucracy going on, Alex kept his cool, and got the job done like the professional he is. Plus, he even impressed a lot of those guys, with that beautiful 75-ton wrecker named Flipper too. When the fire team leader said he was gonna call your boss and tell him what a dam good job you did, that put a smile on my face. And lastly, I absolutely love Flipper! 💓

I may go back and get cert again… also this type of work is just absolutely thrilling. There should be a CHP standard OP on approved methods to remove the various materials cargoes. It shouldn’t normally be a discussion on the side of the freeway other than to confirm facts on the ground. Very interesting video and glad I wasn’t on 405 that day!
