When the dates this year of Marathon Eryri (Snowdonia Marathon) and Coventry Half Marathon coincided on the same weekend, I decided to take on the challenge of running both for a very special cause - The Luca Foundation.
Saturday was Marathon Eryri, offering spectacular scenery, some wild terrain, real camaraderie amongst runners taking part and of course the food and drink station at mile 24 is something else (if you know, you know). It was also great to be running with Chris the Rhino Man again, he's incredible!
I filmed this event last year and when thinking how to give it a different twist this year I decided to chat to as many people as I could on the way round to share their stories of what makes the event so special.
So I hope you enjoy the stories, the scenery and my breathless commentary as we complete the 26.2 miles of Marathon Eryri. And watch out for the Coventry Half Marathon film as well comming soon.

Gutted I didn't get to meet you or so it seems 'realise' as I'm running past you at 9 mins in with the knee supports on 😢....Was my 5th marathon up there to and won't be my last all being well.... Here's to getting in the ballot for the 1st December.... Great video as always, keep up superb work...Love the positivity Mr 👍

Great video Ian... enjoyed watching it with my daughter to show her what it was like. Those hills never look as bad on camera tho! They were brutal 🤣

Cor, well I got in on the ballot for this year. Will be my first marathon and looks like I won't be getting a fast time! Looks amazing though, love it up that way.

@@janehammonds7516 make sure you have plenty of spare batteries, they don’t last too long, so I carry three spares with me in a charging case on any run. I’m just putting a “kit I use” blog together so will let you know when I’ve done it.
