To answer the question as to whether Joe is still alive or not, the answer is likely yes, as I looked him up and he has a PO Box in Fontana, and Gilbert's mom is listed as a relative (the site lists when people passed away). And while I'm here, it's awesome that you upload these videos for the younger generations to see (I was 12 at the time of this video and am a little over a month away from turning 33. Also a fellow SoCal native). The younger generations don't know what life was like before cell phones and social media...

Gil, you are a great guy and you have a beautiful family. Reminds me of my family in some ways. Hector really resembles one of my older brothers a lot. Your mother seems like such a good lady. I was wondering what happened to Joe until I came across this video. I could see from your earlier videos that he was a big part of all your lives for awhile. I'm sorry that things didn't work out and he went his seperate way. You are a very strong unit and its wonderful to see all the years you put together on video. I wish you all the best and maybe someday you could see him again if its not too strange of a situation.
