Engine performance is mostly depends upon valve timing especially intake valve closing point. Duke perform very bad at lower rpm becoz intake valve closes much later in BDC which leads to unomptimum combustion and so does lesser torque in bottom end. So my advice is either change the valve timing or try to retro fit Yamaha's VVA tech to get best of both worlds, and don't forget to lower down compression ratio, it might reduce peak power but will become more smoother, run cooler and give very strong acceleration in low-mid range.

Really helpful video bro... Appreciate you helping us all out. But I do have a few words which might help others because I recently installed a new Sc project aftermarket exhaust on my "BS4 Rc 200 2016" model, and yes It's a replica exhaust... the changes I noticed are as follows.... 1. My pickup is changed and is a bit different than when I had the stock exhaust and I guess it's called being lean, and that's the reason I have to accelerate more now than I usually used to with my stock exhaust. 2. The sound is too loud and the more I rev in lower gears the more loud noices it makes, which honestly is quite irritating and made me rethink this modification, it's been two days and I haven't ridden by bike yet, worried it might help attract fines as I live in Mumbai and it sounds more louder than a modified bullet exhaust. 3. I guess I might have to re-map or maybe use this fuelx to better my A/F ratio and I feel doing that might help me because the fuel intake is stock and the Air flow output has increased which means it's become an free flow exhaust because I have also removed the Cat converter. 4. So my next step is to install a DB killer, a cat converter and maybe this Fulex or some alternative or maybe re-map my ECU or buy one. So honestly I don't know much about bikes and what needs to be done, but can someone help me out with this issue and also start a thread where we can help others with the same issue which majority of us face before buying an installing an after market exhaust, this video feels appropriate to this kind of a problem. Everyone is attracted towards modifying the bike but there are very few with quality content which throws shade post the modification. But this channel does help. Anyways @Jhampa66 can you make a video with an after market exhaust installed with fuelx and is it worth doing the modification, as this will help people like us estimate our budget and can plan accordingly and not make the same mistake as I did, now I will have to spend 9-10k more just to make this exhaust and my performance better.

if you add an exhaust without a free flow air filter and fuel management system, your performance will definitely decrease and take a turn for the worst. i am using a full system exhaust, k&n air filter and Powertronics ECU with special fuel maps and my Bike's performance became much better than stock. doesn't vibrate too. my bike is Dominar 400 2017 BS4. I can help you if you are interested.

That not might be a feasible solution to add an extra cooling set up to overcome heating issue, I am owning a 390 for past 5 years now, never faced an issue with overheating. Albeit, it does reach scalding temp. while driving in city but you need to survive with that and treat it as one of a quirk of this hoot of a bike.
