Buddy, it isn’t holy water. As an actual West African who grew up eating it, sometimes it just wasn’t palatable. And? Sometimes I made fun of it, and even my parents didn’t overreact the way you are. He didn’t disrespect the culture for just not liking it. He disrespected the food, sure, but not African culture. And that’s how ik you’re being all savior about it. “African culture” isn’t really a thing, we’re all so different and Africa is a continent with different ethnic tribes with completely different cultures even in a single area of a country. Sure, there are overlap, but he didn’t disrespect African culture as a whole by not liking a part of the cuisine, especially since that’s not disrespecting the just because fufu and egusi soup came from living in particularly West Africa.
