THIS really shows the passion Hiroshi Matsuyama and his teams have when making them. We need more original and unique games like it.

@@TheMixedPlateFrequency they exist in the same universe and play insanely differently; they’re entirely different genres of rpg. Little tail concerto was the first game(I think) and solatorobo was another story in the universe with the protag of little tail making a cameo in some sidequests

Have not played that, so for me it reminds me most of Bokurano: Ours, which, without saying much due to spoilers, has a very similar concept at play.

This looks cute and interesting, mostly because I fondly remember Solatorobo and I’m glad the team is still making games like that. It’s definitely on my radar now

Really liked this game. The difficulty was a little too hard at first but if there's a tip to help out people struggling at first it's this. At first pair up the party and increase their affinity with their 'partners' as much as you can. Later a lot of the end bosses can be circumvented with a high number of link attacks so get as many characters with mid to high affinity levels and stockpile link attacks to be used on the bosses (mostly to destroy their weapons to prevent high damage attacks so you can wail on their bodies)

I just saw this on Gamepass, and hoped it was an Advance Wars-esque game based solely off the vertical split screen battles, but it doesn't actually look like it. Is it weird to just want a clone of that game? I loved it so much.

Run in to this game by accident, I think you’ve done it a little bit of a disservice by not mentioning there is a demo for people to try for free. I’ve fallen in Love with and the tank really reminds me of howls moving castle.

@@neolordie Then exactly how does this reviewer get so close to the character he killed by using it? 10 minutes seems hardly time enough to do that. Without playing the game, I doubt this happens 10 minutes into the game, probably more like 2 hours but no way it is 10 minutes. Also, never saw any preview that gave indication that firing the thing actually kills a playable character you spend time developing/knowing. Regardless, it is indeed a bit "spoilery", now I know to avoid firing it if I can and when I do the result won't be as impact full for sure.
