Great video - good thing Simplify3D never gets updated so your video remains useful even 5 years later!

Finally someone that talks as fast as me and holds my attention! Thanks for the great overview.

I talked fast to try and make the video as short as I could since I knew it would be long and I didn't want to break it up.

I HATE slow talkers - your talking speed is one of the reasons I can listen to you. :)

does simplofy3d have generic profiles already set for different types of filaments or do you have to make them?
@Fugatech3DPrinting3 жыл бұрын
Yes, it has standard profiles for all printers that are in the configuration wizard.

Good video! How did you get you units for velocity to be mm/s ? I am stuck with mm/min.
@Fugatech3DPrinting3 жыл бұрын
It should be on in the main preferences. Radio button to select mm/m or mm/s.

Not sure you want to have your fan shut off on the mini. That fan cools the head as well. Could cause filament to melt in the cold end.
@Fugatech3DPrinting7 жыл бұрын
You could delay it but I have not had any issues yet. Once I add the E3D hot end I'll only be shutting off the part cooling fan and not the heat break fan.

Fantastic. Thank you. Now I got a Tevo tornado so are any of my settings different from your? Yes I understand the build size but any of the others? Thanks
@Fugatech3DPrinting6 жыл бұрын
I would start with the Tevo Tornado profile in S3D and change things up from there. I like the stock profile except for the support settings.

I've got V4.1.2 and the speed is measured in MM/MIN, not MM/S. How can I change this to MM/S??

how does simplify 3d do on recognizing thin walls? I had made a design once that had 0.8 mm walls for lettering and a border and cura would show them in the program but after slicing and putting on the SD card and printing it they didn't print , and what did print was little pieces here and there. I used slic3r and it did fine
@Fugatech3DPrinting7 жыл бұрын
It really depends on your settings. I've never really had a problem unless it was with the model itself. If you can, scale the print up 1% and see if it slices better.
