Yes, they are all doing different things now. However the chances of them ever making another album look pretty slim and they're on an indefinite hiatus. Ian Mackaye is in a band called the Evens and they've released two albums. Guy Picciotto works mainly as a producer now and has worked on albums by the Blood Brothers and the Gossip. He also played on the last Vic Chesnutt album and toured with him. Brendan Canty played drums on the last couple of Bob Mould albums.

I think because they had done some song with a drum machine and they needed another drummer to duplicate that part, and well also Jerry Busher ( the other drummer ) has the right kind of haircut for the band.

They often layered drums in the studio. It's easier to get a fuller sound with 2 drummers live, which is why they did it.
