ABBA allowed The Fugees to sample their song "The Name of the Game" for "Rumble in the Jungle" due to Björn Ulvaeus's appreciation of the artistic quality and cultural impact of the Fugees' music. Ulvaeus acknowledged that hip-hop was a significant genre and felt that the Fugees' respectful approach to using the sample aligned with ABBA's standards. This decision marked the first time (out of two) ABBA permitted their music to be sampled, highlighting the mutual respect between the artists.

+Andy C, I completely understand that you have the best intentions with this comment, and respect that. But, there's nothing wrong with Afrocentrism, or any pride in ethnicity. Many believe that it leads to division among us humans, but it celebrates our heritage, hardships, and efforts to preserve culture (especially a country where the conquering race has the most evident influence). Otherwise, we would most likely be assimilated into one giant hybrid culture with no individual ethno-aesthetic to appreciate. Color doesn't divide us, mentality and intention does.

I remember when Cassius Clay flipped the script Taking trips to Zimbabwe 🇿🇼🇿🇼🇿🇼 Africans started calling the God Ali Bumbaye (so bwoy) It be the God stricken, God nutrition, lightly stricken (ha) Blow that make you feel like you was poison bitten: sublime from busta Rhymes 💯💯

This is a great tune laced with tons of latent messages but this tune is NUTHIN without the mighty ABBA. Anyone who likes this tune has to like ABBA and shouldn't be afraid/ashamed to admit it.

Some hardrockers and even punk rockers had stated they are ABBA fans, like Ritchie Blackmore, Pete Townshend, Lemmy, John Lydon (who even went to an ABBA concert once with Sid Vicious!)…

Ok which MC you know, male or female, can flawlessly transition from the verse to the hook to the bridge. Going from rap to vocals. I'll just say this..Lauryn Hill..top 5 dead or alive. Debate if you want.
