I know, it's no ragtime this time, but as of recently I've started to enjoy playing Bach as well. I have never really played Bach, however I am going to the conservatory with the accordion as instrument and there I have to play Bach, and as a result I found out that Bach is actually awesome! So now I am playing Bach on the piano too. This fugue in F-sharp minor is my favorite. My channel will still be centered on ragtime, however from time to time I will sneak in some Bach stuff whenever possible xD
Don't expect stunning stuff, with zero education on the piano I am surely playing some stuff incorrectly here and there. However, in my opinion you can never play something incorrectly as long as it sounds good to you, which is the most important. In any case, any remarks from Bach "experts" in the comment section are greatly appreciated and should use the following template: "Come on Victor, at [insert timestamp] you are playing the [insert notes] as a complete idiot. You should play them [insert actual proper way to play them]. If you don't upload a new recording I am going to [kill you/unsubscribe/sell your piano]."
Please comment, like, and/or subscribe if you liked the video. This will boost the algorithm to spread my videos. I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Damn, these Robin Frost pieces are getting crazier and crazier Okay but honestly this is really sweet! I've got to better familiarise myself with Bach honestly.

Very well articulated, personally I would do slightly slower but that’s just because I don’t find myself able to express well at a faster tempo. To me (and I’m no expert either) what can be done perhaps better is to sound more pragmatic. Right now to me the beginning sounds like the middle which sounds like the end.

Thank you. I fully agree, the dynamics could have been a bit more distinct in some places, especially the end where I have more or less the same type of loudness as in the middle.

@@crobatchoppurple8728 That's cool! This is my favorite fugue as well, I loved it so much that I decided to play it on the piano and upload it to my ragtime channel.

@@crobatchoppurple8728 The thing I love the most is that the various theme pop up at random moments, and I especially like the end where theme 1 and 3 are played together, as if it was the end of a beautiful story.

I wonder what governed Bach's invention of the fugue subject, in as much as he could write a fugue to order on any sequence of notes.
