Another addition to the idea that Garrett also possesses Golden Freddy in the movie is that in Abby’s drawing of Afton killing the children, she draws a child with a top hat, a child in blue, a blonde girl and a boy with a hook, clearly depicting the ghosts that possess Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy respectively. The fifth child however has no identification linking to the Golden Freddy child, instead wearing red, which is the colour of the shirt we see Garrett wearing in Mike’s flashbacks. The argument against this is that this child’s hair is drawn in a way that could be a black cap, which Garrett does not wear, but my response to this is that the Bonnie child is shown wearing a blue hat which he doesn’t wear, and also we don’t exactly have any male hair drawn by Abby in this drawing to compare against, since the others are all wearing hats, so it could very well just be how she drew male hair, especially since I believe she draws this hastily. I think the red shirt’s connection to Garrett as an alternate depiction of Golden Freddy combined with the other drawing where Golden Freddy child’s face is taped over are stronger evidence than the counterpoints.

I recomend that you look up my method of getting the crying child's name. Wolfies method is to match up cc's answers with cassidy's questions in the survival logbook. While the last answer "I'm scared" is a bit off it might match with the question of "Do you have dreams?" which is on page 41. Now you have the word "Evad". But there is a mirror next to the wordsearch reading "What do you see?" which might suggest by flipping the word "Evad" backwords to "Dave". It is also worth noting that in every night you have to take a moment and self-reflect, hence why Evad becomes Dave. The Dave name has also been present before inside the FNaF books which feels like the name Dave might be onto something....

The case of Molten Freddy/Ennard is different bc MF is an amalgam made of metal, cables and endoskeletons, and is not a stable body, while GF is, it can't maintain its body as we have seen in PS and SB, it is not the "same space" and it is infused with big quantities of the remnant, not pure souls as GF would be.

This has always been my theory as well (and tbh I assumed it was easily the most popular), but one aspect that I've seen be questioned before is the notion of Cassidy being TOYSNHK. Specifically, the idea being what makes Cassidy so special? That of all of Afton's victims and all his heinous crimes, why is Cassidy the one that should have been spared (instead of Charlie, Susie, or CC for instance)? And my interpretation has always been that "TOYSNHK" is basically a threat-that it's not saying "This was where you went too far, William", it's saying "This was where your plan backfired. This was the wrong kid to pick."

I think the reason Cassidy is The One You Should Not Have Killed is because they had more of a capacity for hatred and vengeance than the other kids did. I think that's why she set up UCN where the other kids just moved on. I also see it as a message to the likes of "you shouldn't have killed this kid specifically", but moreso in terms of "you picked the wrong kid to mess with".

With golden Freddie I was personally wondering if faded and altered text might be the same person, difference being possession and agony. I solved the retcon. It’s Golden Freddy MCI. Golden Freddy was originally the suit used for the MCI, but then the twist of FNAF 3 is that it’s primary antagonist is the actual killer who used the golden Bonnie suit. That’s why the retcon was seemless, it was a twist. Watch the videos from FNAF 1 and 2 and everyone will say GF was the suit used to cause the MCI. Now 100% of the community knows it was Springtrap. Remember, the one piece of evidence that GF was the MCI suit was “There was a spare suit in the back, a yellow one. Someone used it.” That also explains how the retcon was done before the Reddit post, which was prior to FNAF 6 came out. That game was the one that revealed that Puppet was a girl and that “Save HIM” referred to the puppet, not the spirit. The timing of the post means the retcon needs to be between FNAF 2 and FNAF SL (as FNAF 1 can’t retcon FNAF 1) Edit: as Piggehh pointed out below, GF doesn’t start attacking the player until the same night where “there was a suit in the back, a yellow one” was used for either the MCI, DCI, or just one murder (Cassidy?). This means “the yellow suit” HAD to have been GF, as that implication is extremely obvious, as there was only one yellow suit in the lore at that time.

FNAF 1 was supposed to be the FINAL game he ever made. There’s no way he was planning FNAF 3 whenever he was working on his “last” game. The killer in F1 was disguised as a character and lured children away, but the animatronic suits are full of things that will kill you if you’re inside them. Thus, the final suit is slumped over, showing how it doesn’t have the internals necessary to transport itself. This means the only option for the MCI suit in FNAF 1 was either Golden Freddy, or a fur suit/costume that was never mentioned.

The changing of memories theme in the games also explains the drawings in the movie. That's something I've seen a lot of criticism for; people seem to think the drawing of all the kids holding hands with the yellow rabbit suddenly making them forget what happened to them is a random and poor narrative choice. I think this video explains perfectly how that mechanic works, though, and the drawings changing the kids' memories makes perfect sense in the context of the games. What I now no longer understand is why the souls were never set free in the movie if their worst memory was altered in such a way. Maybe it has to do with the intent of whomever is altering those memories, or maybe it's because Cassidy (or their equivalent in the movie) held on to vengeance and is preventing everyone else from moving on - but if his memories were altered too, as shown in the drawing where his head is placed on top of the other kid's and mirroring how Golden Freddy works in the games, then why isn't he at peace? Shouldn't it then be the other way around, where now Garrett *can't see* the good altered memory and is now the one capable of vengeance? Shouldn't it be Garrett's head plastered on top in the picture, so that he's the one able to *see* the good memory? Is Cassidy just immune to the memory change because of the sheer intensity of his vengeance? It's not like the other kids were willing to just let it go; I mean they were ultimately the ones to bring Afton to his demise, and Chica and Carl actually did the most to ensure the springlocks went off. Maybe that's just meant to be a parallel to the "I was the first" line and show that she's also more angry than the others, but I find it odd that Golden Freddy and his spirit(s) weren't even present when Afton was springlocked. The final scene with Cassidy closing the door on Afton and imprisoning him in the restaurant to suffer is great, but I feel like he should have played more of a part in Afton's death like he did in the fnaf 3 minigame. Maybe this doesn't actually mean anything for once, though. I don't know. Just some thoughts.

And that what made the spirit haunting golden freddy so special was the fact that they were stuffed in the same suit that the killer wore. Who knows, this may or may not have lore significance (his hair may have been brown, but becoming Golden Freddy altered his hair colour). What’s in the box? It’s the pieces put together. I think that what was in the box was supposed to be CC’s Foxy plush. I think this because CC’s Foxy plush is literally without its head. It is in pieces. It is Michael’s repressed memories of tormenting his brother. It’s why he wears a Foxy mask, to taunt his brother over what he did to one of his friends. I think that eventually, Michael opens the box (which we see in FNAF World) and puts the plush back together, which is why in the FNAF 4 gameplay we see the plush in the closet as whole, not without its head. The only way Michael would have been able to help the other children is to first confront what he did to his brother. This is why Happiest Day resembles CC’s birthday at Fredbear’s, not because we are releasing CC, but because Michael is using those memories he finally put back together to help the spirits currently trapped. I think the reason Scott chose to forget (or more aptly, not follow up on) what was in the box, was because he felt that Michael’s arc of confronting his past was not clear enough, and so he created Sister Location. Sister Location shows us Michael trying to atone for past mistakes by putting his sister back together, and shows us that Michael holds a grudge against his father. I do think Scott eventually gave the role of freeing the spirits to Henry rather than Michael though, because we didn’t understand what Scott meant with the box. We know that we play as the same character in the first four FNAF games because the Mike and Fritz get fired for the same reason, the night guard in FNAF 3 has seen animatronics that you could only see at the FNAF 2 location (Withered Golden Freddy, Mangle, etc), and the character we play as in FNAF 4 hears audio from one of the FNAF 1 phone calls in reverse. The character from FNAF 4 also has purple toys of a fan, a robot, and a phone, which not only indicate he is a security guard, but also that he has a connection to Purple Guy (William Afton), as the only toys that are purple are the ones relevant to him being a security guard. Scott also hinted that we played as Michael when in the GT livestream, he asked “Have you thought about who the security guard is?” and “four games, one story” on his website. It’s possible Scott was trying to tell us that Michael was dreaming of the FNAF 4 mini-games too, as Mangle should not exist in 1983, if Mangle had a toy it would be Funtime Foxy, not Mangle. Scott drew attention to Toy Chica’s missing beak as a way to get us to look at the other toys, specifically Foxy, and why the Foxy plush is missing its head. I also think it’s possible that the reason that The Silver Eyes trilogy places such an emphasis on Theodore, the Ella doll and closets, was to point us in the right direction. I know none of this is really relevant I just wanted to share.

However, Sister Location changes some of the details, by introducing Elizabeth, and having Michael be injected with remnant (memories) rather than opening the box (which we don’t even know is open, but FNAF World suggests it is). By Pizzeria Simulator, the role of “person who wants to release the children” is given to Henry as well, which I don’t think was originally the plan at all.

The thing I dislike about the Stitchwraith parallel is that the "lore relevant parallels" should always lead us towards already established information. When did Scott establish "two souls in Golden Freddy"? At the very latest, he did that in FNAF 4. And HOW did he do that? That's the problem I want answered. The Logbook and Stitchwraith should expand on the concepts introduced in FNAF 4. They shouldn't be treated as PRIMARY evidence, but just a push towards evidence left in FNAF 4 (or earlier). FNAF World does that quite well because it just ties "putting back together" with FNAF 3 minigames - it's a simple connection that we've made before World was released. In the same way, FNAF 4 makes connections between Bite Victim and Golden Freddy and it creates confusion between him and the fifth MCI victim, HOWEVER, FNAF 4 on its own says nothing that could imply that they're BOTH possessing Golden Freddy. That's my problem with this theory. For me, ShatterVictim/MemoryVictim makes more sense. I think the connections are more symbolical. Bite Victim seems to be Golden Freddy (it's a connection with FNAF 3) but he also seems to be bite victim (of '87; it's a connection with FNAF 2) and he also has ties with Mike (connection with FNAF 1). I think he's "Golden Freddy" as much as he's Jeremy or Mike. He's connected to other games, but not in a literal way. For more elaboration, google both ShatterVictim and MemoryVictim because they're both very interesting theories.

I think the two souls possessing golden Freddy is established in FNAF 2 by the shadow animatronics one is more aggressive and shows in the office i.e. Shadow bonnie which I think is a stand in for the vengeful spirit she takes form as a bunny as a nod to her killer William Afton in the spring bonnie suit while shadow Freddy is the crying child who is more passive and is only confined in the parts and service room.

This is also the plot of The Desolate Hope, Scott's game prior to FNaF 1, where a human child survives within the code of five robots, with the fifth being a broken down one that's always sitting. The plot of ITP also comes from Chipper and Son's, where a robot replaces the protagonist's father.

The movie thing is a bit of a mind blown moment. In terms of ‘how’ CC ends up in Golden Freddy, my best guess is he initially possessed the plush. What if William used the plush as part of how he lured the MCI. An inverted Funtime Freddy, a Bonnie with a small Freddy in his hand. When he had his hands full with two kids at once, he used the plush to quiet one kid while he killed the other. Lacking a place for the extra kid, he had to put them into Golden Freddy. Wild speculation of course. It could also be William knowing the plush is haunted and trying to give CC ‘life’ by transferring it into a larger body. [maybe where his remnant studies began or were leading]

I remember when these games came out and no one could understand why /why/ that mini game showed the masks… was it the children? Why in the bad ending does it show all the masks? This has actually given me an idea for the case of the Shadow animatronics. The only shadows are Freddy and Bonnie, both of which relate to Animatronics filled with hate and malice. Cassidy in GF, and Afton in SB. We know manifestations of emotions exist in the FNaF universe, so it could be possible that both Shadow Freddy and Shadow Bonnie are manifestations of *Hatred and Malice, both representing Cassidy and Afton* I could also just be spitballing too much here

This is a really great theory! For some additional evidence - consider that in FNAF 4 Night 4, we see what looks like a child stuck in a springlock suit, and we also see in FNAF 3 Stage 01 that there was a single child who went missing at Fredbear's. Cassidy seems to have died in a Springlock suit like Afton, which would explain why they both possess supernatural abilities and seem more in-control than the others.

Also in fnaf 2, golden freddy can become a floating head and in the jumpscare, the only part of him that appears is his head so CC in fnaf 2 was trying to hold Cassidy back, but ultimately failed after Cassidy separated the head and jumpscared the nightguard

There's also the "(It's) Me" drawings in FNaF 1. One of a boy, and we hear the voice of the other, a girl. Crying Child also alters the text in the FNaF 1 location, and in Mike's eyes. This interaction of direct speech and altered text is identical to how they communicate in the Logbook. My big issue with the debate is always this: if Cassidy is the vengeful spirit...why? So much effort is put into explaining who Golden Freddy is, but when it comes to Cassidy (which I do think is likely) I feel nothing. So Afton's biggest threat is some random kid he killed who happened to want to torture him because...reasons? I genuinely hope future games cover this because it's bugged me for so long.

I think it's because Afton put Cassidy in the Golden Freddy suit in fnaf 2 and springlocked them to death. That’s what happened the day someone "used" the old yellow suit and why the restaurant was under investigation then closed. A murder disguised as a accident. I think that's the multiple spring lock failure mentioned in fnaf 3. And why at the end of UCN Golden Freddy is twitching exactly like Springtrap was in fnaf 3. To show that he had been spring locked as well.

There's some context in FNaF World you left out that actually inclines me to believe Happiest Day being for the Crying Child wasn't the intended reading here. At one point in the game, Glitch Fredbear says "You need to leave breadcrumbs for him, to help him find his way," in reference to the clocks. And at the end of the game, once you collect all the clocks & enter a secret portal, the yellow eyes tells the Crying Child "The pieces are in place for you. All you have to do is find them." All this implies that the Crying Child isn't the one who receives Happiest Day, but instead the one who sets it up, as he's the one "finding" the Happiest Day minigames.

I think the glowing eyes are meant to be a different character than glitchbear, talking to (proably) CC. The opening cutscene repeats the "I will put you back together" line. Also, notably, only glowing eyes are visible... almost like the person they are talking to "can't see". The player is probably either Mike or Cassidy (if you subscribe to the theory that the spirits can interact with the game world), so it's not CC who sets up happiest day, he's just being addressed in some of the cutscenes.

FNAF is also frustratingly vague sometimes. I think that if they're not the same character, then they're talking to different characters in those different forms. I think that the glowing-eyes form of glitchbear is talking to CC, and in the full-body form he's talking to the player character (who I don't think is CC). I think that CC setting up his own happiest day makes no sense. Like, he's been a super passive character this whole time and suddenly he gains the agency and ability to free his own soul? idk. Like, obviously possible but I don't find it likely.

They both share the same motivation of helping CC & putting pieces in place for him, and something as simple as changing eye color wouldn't be restricted under an 8-bit style. And yeah, regardless of if they're different characters or not, CC is only being spoken to in the intro & ending cutscenes. That's basically a guarantee. That's the thing, though. FNaF World telling us CC set up Happiest Day means there's no proof that Happiest Day was for CC at all. They're completely different roles. The problem there is that Glitchbear doesn't say "your avatar" or something like that. It says "YOU were created for one thing." And while FNaF can be vague sometimes, I wouldn't accuse it of being THAT misleading.
