Hey everyone! In today's video we talk about FNAF Sister Location and the one thing we all missed from that game. We also talk about how it connects to FNAF Security Breach and The Mimic. I've been working on this video for a while now and am really proud of it. I hope you enjoy :)

I just want to clarify a few things: - The misconception that Scott was referring to could've been anything. But even if this wasn't it, that doesn't change the theory whatsoever. - I believe the story of the Mimic parallels Henry building Baby, so I believe he built her for Charlie before she died to William (just like Edwin did for David in the book). this is amazing. One of my favorite theories ever. I can't believe I haven't heard anyone mention baby's chip because it was huge and it went nowhere (apparently) and now it makes a lot of sense. I also love the fact that you acknowledge baby talking about another "her" in SL and suddenly changing to a first person in the next game, it always drove me crazy

What's even scarier is that it seems that Mimic *knows* it's mimicking behavior, but he still does what it was designed for, that's why Baby gives a speech about ,,pretending" It shows that Mimic is just as intelligent (if not more) as humans, but he still does what it was designed for, just like humans eat, sleep etc.

⁠@@shaungurian7992Well according to the books the mimic been around for about 40 years with Edwin(Henry) destroying it and recreating it and transferring it over and over again until he gets the right data. It’s the reason why I have a love/hate real with Henry because he has some strangely nefarious actions but is a good person with good intentions and a strong will to protect people. I low key can’t get over him trapping his daughters spirit in a robot prison while she is in a robot prison to then be sold off for $5 to be burned to ashes. I know he did it to free Charlie’s spirit but it seems like it only made the situation worse because, with Josh’s very well explained theory, it made Mimic Charlie essentially the last remnants of her and Mimic Charlie is on demon time so it’s not looking good right now. It doesn’t help that Charlie already had a sad life but now she has an even sadder death because her spirit had been corrupted from the anguish.

Fun fact: In FNaF World, leading up to the release of SL, the last cutscene shows Henry regretting building Baby, before it then murders him. It's been shown Henry built Baby since before we knew what SL was, and everybody ignored it.

I think "the Baby isn't mine" interpretation is genius. It makes perfect sense when the Michael interpretation never quite lined up. Also, I had completely forgotten about Baby's chip. I don't remember anyone ever talking about that (though it has been a while now, so I may have forgotten), but it seems like such a glaring oversight. This is great.

Not only that. Before the chip got removed Baby's talking about Elizabeth as her, different person but once the Charlie chip is removed, Baby behaves like somebody else, like she's Elizabeth which is true.

I quickly saw where you were going with it and I think that's a testament to how legit this theory is. It's really clever that you connected everything back to the card you take from Baby in SL, because it's a detail that got quickly forgotten about in the middle of everything else in that game, but indeed could have massive implications when you stop to consider. And it reminds me of how everyone thought Cassie was going to be Elizabeth from the first image cause she looked blonde, but then she was a brunette, reversing how Baby was initially brunette but her hair turned red, but it's probably my confirmation bias rather than intentional sfdlkjfghflsg

One thing I really appreciate about this video is that at the end he put a full summary of his take on what happened. He should absolutely start doing this for every video. It's very easy to get lost on the little details as he's explaining things so finishing off with an overview gives us as an audience a much clearer picture of what he's trying to get across. I’m guessing the green and purple in that glitched bunny at the end of the ruin trailer is the embodiment of the culmination of the Charlie virus and afton. Honestly, your theory makes sense. In the Ruins trailer the robots are seen still roaming around, which means they're still after something. The place being a trap also makes sense, since there is no way Gregory should know who Cassie is or how to reach her. Besides, Gregory escaped along with Freddy, but even if he didn't he'd be smart enough to get out by himself. However, I'm still confused about what Gregory's actual purpose was in Security Breach, nothing seems to fit 100%.

Yeah honestly the "Baby isn't mine" quote is so obvious but it surprises me nobody else has ever made that connection. Like they are literally telling us Baby isn't Afton's yet it flew over everyone's heads. The Chip we remove from Baby being the stand-in for the mimic virus makes sense. It wasn't just some random circuit board that was scanned but an actual physical chip that we have already seen in the games already that was a loose end before. It then makes sense why help wanted 2 is going to be set in the SL Bunker... they are wanting to give another means to explain these details in a way that we as an audience could digest.

@@umelgaming3177 I guess for me the thing that prevents me from fulling subscribing to John's theory is the opening cutscene of Sister Location. While Afton doesn't expressly state that he built Baby, he seems to present her to the inspector (?) as his own work. It's possible that this was another Scott retcon, but considering it happens in the same game as the (admittedly compelling) "Baby isn't mine" incident, they are either both still relevant or neither. Also, why would Henry design a Charlie-bot designed to capture children? That seems like an Afton-collecting-remnant thing to do. I'm curious as to what the rest of the community thinks about that, hope you respond. :)

@@BuckyBuchsbaum So if Henry took his grief and anger out on Circus Baby when Charlie died and Baby was damaged as a result. William could have stolen the damaged animatronic and repaired it, in the process of repairing it adding features meant to lure and trap kids as modifications and not building it out-right. This also falls in-line with what Scott wants... The Fourth Closet explicitly tells us that Baby was meant to be the Adult form of Robot Charlie and that Afton Modified it into what we know now. I am not saying this is a 1:1 but if Scott had a Blueprint for the story and the Books and Games are both following it then similarities are bound to exist between them and that detail is really weird if you just assume William Built Circus Baby because they would just straight up contradict eachother

@@umelgaming3177 Fair point, it is hard to reconcile the fact that the fourth Charlie-bot is just straight up Baby with William being the creator of Baby. It's just hard to switch perceptions of WIlliams connection to Baby despite the fact that the evidence was always there in front of us that Henry built baby. There's also that weird (and presumably non-canon) ending of FNAF World where Baby seems to kill her creator, but I don't think that's really a sequitur. I also wonder how the Eleanor character from the Fazbear Frights stingers fits into this Baby identity crisis. That's something that's been kinda left behind in terms of theorizing. This is good for the lore, and to salvage Baby's reputation too. I've heard people criticize the fact Baby is a very good stand alone villain in SL. But their issue comes in FNAF 6 because of the personality shift. They think the writers did her dirty and scrapped all of her character development. This discovery now fixes that issue, because there is a logical in story way to justify that change.

This actually makes so much sense and is even backed up by the books An additional piece of information is that Charlie‘s bunny doll could be plushtrap. The sister location map shows 3 distinct houses which could belong to William, Mrs. Afton (if they got a divorce), and Henry. In this case Henry’s house would be the one containing the plushtrap hallway and the 4 side rooms (closets) shown to each contain an animatronic (which could be the Charlie animatronics). Might be something to look into.

I feel like going back and forth between the books and games isn't the smartest thing to do as the general audience doesn't look nearly as deeply into the what's presented to them as Game theory and the most devout fans do. Weird observation: the trailers for both SB and the Ruin DLC make HEAVY use of a music box melody. It matches the vibe and sounds creepy, yes. But maybe this shows a bigger connection between those games and Charlie - we knew her spirit was in the puppet. Puppet’s whole introductory mechanic was a music box. The darker, slower music box from the trailers definitely sounds more evil than the music box that the puppet has in FNAF 2. Like, I dunno… an evil version of a good character?

Something to note is that what we know as Baby in SL, according to the silver eyes trilogy of books, is actually the ADULT version of Charlie, from the four closets. and Baby in the books uses giant needles to manipulate her size and whatnot (needles that are PRESENT in her in-game model). So yeah, Baby = evil Charlie, Afton stole her from Henry, and all of this also means that Henry WAS the creator of Baby, all the way back since the desk guy from FNAF WORLD!! This theory is mind-blowing.

I always liked finding overlaps between the books and games and couldn't rectify Game Baby being an Afton-made bot, while Book Baby was Henry's daughter. I really enjoyed this theory. The fact that we might have overlooked a small detail in Sister Location after all this time shows, at least to me, that Scott put a lot of thought into that game. Personally I've always felt like Sister Location had more story left to tell. Imo i felt like Sister Location started to really give us an idea of how the story is going forward. Also now that we're getting a VR2 sometime later this year i wonder how much more Lore well get from the new game? Not trying to pressure Steel Wool or anything but from what it shows it looks like were in for a ride of good mysteries and I'm here for it. Anyway, long story short, I feel like SL is very important and has more to tell in its story.

I do truly think the Mimic is a retcon and Glitchtrap and Burntrap were originally meant to be William, but I also think Charlie was always planned to be part of Security Breach in some way, and this is a very well done interpretation of both Sister Location and Security Breach as it is now. Really nice detective work!

That one detail about Baby going from referring to Elizabeth as a separate entity in SL to being Elizabeth herself in Pizza Sim is actually such a big detail that I'm kinda shocked none of us noticed until now. I really like the new Game Theory that they released about Ruin being the whole Charlie vs Glitchtrap viruses and now with this theory we have a pretty solid way of getting to that point from a lore perspective.

To add a little to this theory: in Sister Location, Baby (Charlie? Mimic1?) instructs you to put the chip in your Hand Unit. After that, whatever it is can talk to you anywhere. Something that always intrigued me about Baby is that she's the only animatronic that is actually on Aftons side. My only problem with the theory is that Elizabeth says “didn’t you make her just for me” to her dad. Along with the way Afton’s voice lines talk about building her and the “that’s not the design choices we were concerned about Mr Afton” part I just don’t think Baby was built by Henry. However something I do find interesting is that Elizabeth / Baby doesn’t refer to herself that way in Sister Location when Michael is the one interacting with her, but when she starts being in the same place as Springtrap she starts saying “I will make you proud Daddy”. There’s something weird about that to me, she doesn’t seem to react to Michael in the same way she does to William even though the rest of the Sister Location animatronics think Michael is William, she doesn’t. It’s just odd.

Baby in its current form is still Afton's creation. You think Henry made a giant claw that springs out of Baby's chest and grabs and stores the closest unsuspecting child for future torture and experimenting? Instead, Baby has been built using parts of the Mimic from Henry and the mimic1 programme, which has a bunch of data on it that was already on there because of Henry's daughter.
