Clean build! The paint makes this bike unassuming from a distance but is actually quite cool when you're up close.

Thank you. I try to add detail for the person devoted enough to take a closer look, as opposed to shouting it from a distance.

Very clean single speed. Love the simplicity.

Thanks. I usually try to accentuate the core concept of a build. But in general I find that simplicity is always welcomed with bicycles.

Very clean, simple and minimalist. I wish you install a fix hub haha
@TheUndeadMechanic Жыл бұрын
It is a flip flop hub so it has the fixed cog on the opposite side of the hub. Madrid is a bit hilly so the owner wanted it on the freewheel side to make it easier on the downhills.

If it was this color, it must have been this bike, seeing as it is custom.

Thick slicks are great, if they fit.

In my experience I have found that 28's will fit most 80's and 90's road frames. 90's track frames can get tricky though and sometimes will only allow up to 25.

Wanted to drop in to see if anyone used a 13 tooth cog and does it last? I am thinking if go 13t or 14t on back, unsure on complete fixed gear ratio as on a 6.7kg road bike I ride up hills I need with 53x11 and my 16kg mountain bike I use 44x11 everywhere

The tendency I've noticed is the smaller you go the shorter the life span.

can you please tell me what the headset size is? the cup length?
@mxmphis666 Жыл бұрын
and what was your fork steer tube length?
@TheUndeadMechanic Жыл бұрын
So this frame was rebuilt after a full tear down for a paint job. This is the original factory fork, frame, and headset. Unfortunately I didn't take the measures you need during the rebuild and the bike is now with its original owner. May I ask what the specs are needed for?

Slicks 700x32?

700X28. Thickslicks, with that generous layer of rubber, run big.
