Also have the xt20 for 3 years but I still can't over the fact that the auto focus is not that good. Can't rely on the face and eye detection because it will miss. Very good for landscape and stills photography. But will miss on kids that are active and running unless you are in a very good lighting and will use a high aperture most of the time. I will definitely choose any sony mirrorless camera over it if you have kids for the superb auto focus. Will sell mine.

had one from when they first came out, bought some lovely fuji lenses for it and some great adaptors for all my other lenses. Keep thinking about selling and moving up but,,,,,,,,,, why do I want to (not need to) pay an extra £1000 for something thats double the pixels and have to get new lenses etc etc, i love this camera and the lenses, keep up the good work

Hello! I loved the photos you took! I'm not necessarily going into photography, but in a month or so I'm moving and living on my own. My dad recently found our old camera, and I just loved the nostalgia and feeling of being able to look back at old photos and the whole process of taking them with a proper camera, so I was thinking of getting a "beginner" camera to document living on my own in a new city and everything between. I'm considering getting this camera for $424 and a 35mm f/2 lens to go with it. What do you think?

I am a T 20 user. I have been using this camera since 2018. I must say that it is a great camera. I improved how to take photos without auto mode. I want to upgrade with new fujifilm cameras but sometimes I think that it has a nice image quality. Do you think that upgrade with X T 5 really changes the image quality ? will I get a better dynamic range ?

considering to pick this in 2024 as aa replacement for my original x100. is it still worth it?

Audio recording, turn down the preamp in the camera to almost minimum and use a mic with gain control and turn up the gain. Not a perfect solution but ok for in camera recording and you are not using a good external audio recorder. A hot shoe mounted preamp plus external microphone/s is also a good solution but makes the camera set up a bit bigger.

Nice video! I'm also a a6400 user and always curious about Fujifilm camera with their unique film simulation features. Just wondering do you think it's worth it to buy a used X-t20 and give it a try? (is the colour and the film simulation really worth it from a a6400 user point of view) Thanks

I have both the Fuji X-T20 and the Sony a6100.. Colors SOOC are insanely good on the xt20 and I rarely ever need to edit my shots from it.. But sadly yes, the autofocus is very much inferior compared to Sony.. And I always find myself missing the convenience and accuracy of Sony's face/eye AF whenever i use my Fuji 😢

Xt20 for cinematic videos is better than sony a6300 or Sony a6500 or not?

Never tried them, but i think 6500 is superior because of the 120fps and has weather sealed body.

If you choose Sony I don't think you should buy cameras right now, they might launch something new. I think it's better buy new ones or wait for the discount for older model.

I'm the owner of this camera since 2020. About photo nothing bad to say (good price/quality). About video I'm not satisfied.. even though I have the XF 18-55 OIS, videos are really shaky.
