Fujifilm 18 F2 Review - Most Underrated Lens?

Have been considering this little lens. Price, weight, and its F2 are top considerations. BTW - Have enjoyed your in-ear monitor reviews. Sold off all my pricey audio gear and kept a small IEM kit (Blessing 2, SSR, FH5S).

Nice to see you coming from My audio channel. I still love it, and also fyi, almost 80% of my shots from my audio channel with bokeh is shot with this lens. I just recently transferred to the 16 1.4 but other wise its shot with this. ✌️

Own it. Use it. Like it. But (if you're serious about buying it) don't let the youtube "I can't believe you're sleeping on this lens!" stuff remove all your critical faculties. It's nice and worth buying because Fuji don't really provide anything comparable or better in the 18-23mm range. But they could have made it so much better. The worst thing about it is the focus mechanism. It's jonky and almost completely useable in manual mode. The image quality is pretty good. But not as impressive as a lot of other fuji lenses I've used... especially in low light for some reason. One big positive is that if you pair it with one of the newer bodies... then the auto-focus performance is really good... so you now longer have to worry about manual micro-focusing.

It's a great lens for its compactness and image quality vs price. Yes the 18-55 kit lens covers this focal length already but it's so big on my xe2 I feel I need to use the additional grip bracket which makes the whole set up much bigger. The 18mm for street and general city photography is perfect, and with the hood on it has the ideal amount of grip to be comfortable.

I've a X-E3 with the kit 18-55 and also the 35mm f2 I'm looking at getting the 18mm f2 because I do street photography and prefer prime lenses for the compact size and image quality, enjoyed your review and looking forward to the next one.

The only focal length from Fuji at 18mm? What about the kit lense 18-55? Or you meant prime? Anyway, nice vid, I'll probably be getting this lens :)

I have XH1 with 18mm F2.0 and When I zoom int the image they are not sharp and kind of grainy.
