I realize I'm replying to an old posting, but here goes.... I've got the predecessor, the X20. Since then I've got a couple of cameras that cost twice as much, do more, and are considered way better. Well, I still take this little camera out more. I love how it feels in my hands, how unobtrusive it is and portable, the fact I don't have to carry extra lenses, and it has a lens to die for. Forget the sensor size. When you have a scene focusing through a lens of this caliber on a smaller sensor, you still get excellent results. I really do believe the lens in this camera is worth more than the whole camera. The fact that it has so many other plusses, just adds to its value. My humble opinion.

+eyalg.com You are welcome! I'd be interested to learn whether or not you still have the X30, and if your experience of using it changed over time?

***** I only had it for the period of the review. I still cherish it as an excellent compact camera, though perhaps not for anyone and everyone, as the taste for Fuji is quite specific.

+eyalg.com That's interesting. I ordered one today so I will find out soon enough if Fuji is 'right' for me. Years ago, I used Canon SLRs, and although I have recently tried out different Panasonic cameras LX5, LX7, GX1 and presently the GM1), I have not really felt any 'excitement' when using them. Next month, I hope to oder the new Fuji X70 providing I acquire the taste for Fuji. Good luck in your future work.

+Cameras For Photographers ...Eyalg, where are the Panorama examples you mention at about 9:05 into the video? Do they not stitch together properly? Btw, I kept the X20, the LX7 and a few others when I got a super deal on this one.

JOE PRETE Thanks, Joe. I probably forgot to add those panoramas into the video. Panoramas are broken at large exposure variations. Nonetheless, I managed to pull out some nice ones. You're welcome to read more about it in my written review, the examples are there. www.eyalg.com/cameras/FujiFilm_FinePix_X30

Why oh why did Fuji screw up the top half of the camera from the excellent appearance of the top of both the X10 and X20???

Whats the difference between fujifilm x30 and fujifilm finepix x30?
@EyalG8 жыл бұрын
+Bernard Tan No difference, it's the same camera.

Oh ok. Cause i am worried, as i have heard that some companies would bring down the specs for their products. So i am just wondering if that is happening to fujifilm and fujifilm finepix

this camera would be big hit if it had one inch sensor! how sad!

Oh, I totally agree! Fuji's sensor size choices are questionable, if not downright annoying. 1/2", APS-C and recently also medium format? I'd rather have a 1" in a compact like you said and mirrorless with Full Frame sensors. Enough with the Sony A7 Monarchy.
