I have used the GFX50Sii for about 2 months now, I’m predominantly shooting landscapes commercial & personal, 51.4MP is more than enough (100MP would weigh my computer down for regular work). You mentioned “stately” … this is a great description in a word! The camera with kit lens is IMHO, sedate and powerful, the IQ superb, for MF it is as lightweight as my old Canon DSLRs. Thanks for your great review, it nailed it for me with the stately comment 👌👍🤠

Thank you for posting. This and Nikon D780 have my interest for moving up from DX APSC format. As I stated in your other video I’m mostly interested in slower thoughtful photography, using vintage lenses or new recreations from Lensbaby and Lomography. Those lenses are usually made for 35mm, but illuminate far more than 35mm. Since they are vintage, much of their character is in the sides or even corners that are cropped out of APSC/DX sensors.. and I’m interested to see how much more is illuminated beyond the full frame. Do you have access to any Lomography or Lensbaby lenses? Lensbaby Velvet’s or Twists or Lomography Petzval or Daguerrotype Achromat’s? If so I would love to see some samples and your thoughts.. being vintage design the character might roll off into the corners and not need to be cropped due to vignetting . Or if cropped not much. And offer a different look than full frame... Thank you for posting. :)

Thanks for your kind words. I don't have any access to the lenses you suggest.

I appreciate your stance on advertising, Maarten, even though I also understand KZbinrs who want to use that for income. My input for next video: could you comment on the pros and cons of the higher and lower pixel counts using the same sensor in the different GFX models? Futureproof is now an illusion. Technology is advancing too quickly. It's very hard to predict, particularly as no camera manufacturer is fully in charge of their destiny and rely on suppliers for significant parts of the system.

In M, shutter duration is set using the back dial - setting is displayed on the top panel, the LCD and EVF. The aperture is set using the aperture ring on the lens. I don't know how it will be set with the new lens that doesn't have an aperture ring.

Thanks, I will do a more detailed review of the 33mm, I was thinking alongside the 23mm - but it looks like that is delayed.
