Ignore the haters as they know NOTHING about photography. It is perfectly fine to refer to this type of camera as a "Polaroid type" camera. Yes, Polaroid is a company, BUT it is also used to refer to a certain type of instant point and shoot camera. You will hear m,any people call the Kodak and Fujifilm versions polaroids and it is perfectly acceptable.

I live in Asia and here the film is super cheap and only really comes in fun patterns. Fun pattern film is so great and here they have deals say when you buy 2 packs of film it's the price of one and a half packs, which is amazing.
