It‘s not just about the cameras, but your photos are so beautiful and the way you make these videos too. On their own they are already so entertaining!! 🤩

For what it’s worth, IMO the X100V is a big step up, the lens has been redesigned so it is sharp wide open dead close and with the NiSi UV filter makes it 100% weatherproof. As for chuck ability I’ve used it snowboarding it’s tough.
@sararargides4713 Жыл бұрын
If i wanted sharp photos I’d just use my Sony lol, but yeah the weatherproofing is really the only notable upgrade imo

So I hear Marcus, so I hear. It seems to have struck a similar chord as the original x100 did when it was first released. Can’t say why though. I’ve never really measured a lens by how sharp it is but the character it has. You rockin’ the V?

I’ve got the X100V and while the F was plenty sharp enough most of the time, the V can shoot at F2 at any distance, even super close. My other cameras are a Leica SL which I got because it was cheap and had an ace view finder for manual lenses. This got me into vintage lenses, which then got me into Voigtlander lenses which then “ forced” me to buy an M11 which is stupendously good. That said the SL is amazing and makes everything else feel badly made.

Awesome! I’m glad it did. Has it moved you to buy, sell or keep the camera? 🙂

I know how you feel. I kick myself for selling my X100S. I bought it used, when the T was the current model. I wish I'd had it with me in SE Asia in 2019. Chuck-a-bility? Oh, yeah! When my dad passed in 2014, I had to leave abruptly for Chicago to settle his affairs. The X100S, spare batteries, charger, and memory cards, and a few lens cleaning wipes went into a Domke Reporter's Satchel, along with my toothbrush, a clean shirt, First Aid kit, and a 8.5" x 11" writing pad. The rest of my clothes went into checked luggage because I'm never without at least my Swiss Army knife, and I refuse to buy one at my destination and throw it away before the return trip (One time, on an overnight trip sponsored, ironically enough, by the Dept. of Homeland Security, I threw the SAK into an 18" duffel bag and checked it. The look on the gal's face at the airline counter when I set that on the scale was priceless!). I spent a month in Chicago shooting with that camera, and it was great! I'm coming back to Fuji with an X-T3, but I will be adding an X100-something soon!

I hear ya. It’s one of the only digital cameras I felt confident enough to throw into a backpack and let it bounce around inside. Coming back to Fuji… which brand are you leaving behind? Or are you dual shooting?
@darylnd Жыл бұрын
@@oliscurra I'm leaving Sony. You could say I'm dual shooting: I've been out today with my Konica FS-1, 40mm f/1.8 AR Hexanon, loaded with Ilford HP5 Plus.

I’ve got the GRii. Underrated little camera. Of course the SL2-S is simply awesome. Have you got a fav lens for it?

@@oliscurra I sold my M lenses I had from my M10. Now, with the awesome SL2-s, I primarily use the new Sigma 85/1.4 & 35/1.4 DG DN Art lenses. Since I have the 28mm GR III, and don't go too wide, this winter I picked up the Sigma 24/f2 Contemporary. All 3 are awesome. I case I am in bright light, I bought Kase Wolverine Magnetic NDs (3, 6, 10 stop in 82mm) and put step up rings on the 24 & 35mm. The 85mm is already 82mm. Topped it off with 82mm magnetic lens caps. Don't really use hoods.
