I hope you can visit Kuching Sarawak here in Malaysia one day. For me Kuching has similar scenery with Penang where you will see old shop houses, street art, old British buildings and etc. Recommended place to go in Kuching Sarawak for photography; Kuching Waterfront, Carpenter Street, India Street, Old Court House, New Sarawak Museum Complex, Malaysia-China Friendship Park and Bako National Park. I’m sure you are going to love it! 😊

spoiler: It’s exactly the same as the X-T20, but the touchscreen is mildly more functional. And the EVF is just over there a little bit. The sensor is the same as the X100F also. So yeah, if you need OVF: 100F. If you need to switch lenses: E3.
@GamerNxUSN6 жыл бұрын
100f has a leaf shutter and built in ND filter. So if flash sync and quiet shutter is important to you...

Not real sure what the lens hood shape has to do with the sensor coverage. I’ll get one if you can explain that. I put the X-70 hood on my X100F and it works fine and looks just as cool, but if your getting better results I want one.
@joeallam6 жыл бұрын
The different shape is simply about more coverage, although it is subtle. Think of it this way: a circular lens produces a circular image, yet we only expose onto a rectangle sensor. The top and bottom of the imaging circle are mostly lost in this crop. The same can be said for a circular lens hood. It's circular to fit around the lens, however, its effect is reduced simply because it's shading an area of the imaging circle that doesn't even get exposed onto the sensor. A square lens hood generally reaches in much tighter on the top and bottom of the imaging circle and matches closer to the sensor area. That being said, if you've already got a lens hood, it's probably not worth going and getting another.
@Thomas_Geist6 жыл бұрын
Joe Allam Thanks. I do use the way too expensive Fuji square hood on my 23mm f1.2 but do it cause it looks cool. Not, being a good Protestant, you’ve provided a needful reason so I feel better at least.

Would love to hear the comparison between X100F & X-E3 from somebody that travels a lot. Both these camera's are on my shortlist for a compact travel setup. I do a lot of travel within Europe for my new job nowadays. 40% a month in either Paris, Zurich, London or Frankfurt. I have a dslr setup for my portraiture/urbanscapes. But that will be only used for that. For travel i want compactness so i can shoot scenes, or street with the VERY oceasional portrait. Im thinking X100F because the lens is fixed, 35mm is great for general use and the ND filter comes in handy (as shown here) - with the fixed lens makes the setup less protruding so better to store in a 5L bag. Plus i wont be stressing out what lens to bring/brought the right lens. Nor do i want to start collecting for a secondary system as i have enough pro glass on the FF side of things that will last me for my more professional usage. XE3 does have the "always on bluetooth" ; which paired with my unlimited 4G worldwide phone subscription gives me the option to have every snap i take uploaded the onedrive as i go. And be available on the phone for quick edit/upload. Realistically speaking i wouldnt do the "edit on the go" thing that much and not in bulk so if i really should put much emphesis on this i dont know. If i did get the XE3 it would only be ONE lens that i would buy for it. (23/2 or 35/2 WR)
@joeallam6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the insight! I'll definitely keep this in mind as a sample use case for how someone might be making their decision. The built-in ND filter really is one of the main things that separates these cameras in terms of usability for me. Of course there are other similar specs, but it's definitely a close call.
