I’ve looked at this product so many times over the years, but for my taste it simply is too big. I wish they made a super sleek line input version as well. The main point for me is high quality, noise free audio, since the on-camera inputs are so poor.

This wpuld be great to add timecode to the fuji. Its still not timecode IO but gives the ability to record timecode into camera while having good audio

My X-H2S is not powering it up. Possibly it's the new firmware V 2.00 in the X-H2S.

@@remektekmedia6641 to get Tascam's attention? :-) I tried their support site, but no reply. Finally I figured it out. I had the camera set in High Speed Video mode. Then the camera does not record audio. Though it did show that it had enabled the Tascam audio inputs (as the audio display on the screen showed the two Tascam audio input level bars.) But no power light on the Tascam. So it wasn't so obvious! I've had other cameras, e.g. Sony that still record autio in the higher frame rates.

Any ideas on how to use the adapter along with a cage and top handle?

I use a Smallrig cage with my XT-3. My Atomos Ninja is attached to the top handle and the Tascam audio adapter is attached to one of my side handles. Then my wireless mic receiver is mounted on top of the Tascam audio adapter. I hope that helps! Too bad I can't upload pictures.

I can use this with the XT3 as long as the battery pack is plugged in, correct?

Yes, but the audio needs to be channelled via the camera's mic input socket, not through the hot shoe.

I’m using this with a rode ntg4+ and the audio sounds awful! I have a xh2s running with the hotshoe adapter. I know I’m not doing something right as I’m not an audio guy.

Are they gonna release a firmware update for other cameras also? Xt3 for example.

If the camera cannot receive DIGITAL audio via its hot shoe connectors, then you cannot overcome this with a firmware update.

I would take Fujifilm alot more seriously if they put full size HDMI ports on their cameras and if their autofocus wasn't so abysmal compared to their competition.

No love for XT3 and XH1 considering Fujifilm was promoting these cameras as video centric cameras, what a shame Fuji is definitely playing mind games with their product line.

I've been filming with my XT3 for years and love it! I got the Tascam adapter working. Going to test it out further tomorrow after church. Hoping to use it on my next filming.
