Alexa's spot-on. You can trust her on this (even if not much else). And she knows Kaze because he's active on KZbin and makes his stuff highly accessible to the international audience (like the translation of his lyrics that you seem to be enjoying a lot). You've also got an excellent read on the guy. You know...if you ever want to traverse down the rabbit hole further than you already have, like, quite possibly past the point of no return, after checking out most of his original stuff that's available on his channel, I recommend checking out the covers that he did in the past, too. They were all done before his major debut as an artist and he's got quite a few selections I reckon you might find nostalgic. For example, some of the things he's covered are Earth,Wind and Fire's September, Ray Washington (with Bill Withers)'s Just The Two Of Us, Elton John's Your Song, Billy Joel's Honesty & Just The Way You Are, Gil O'Sullivan's Alone Again, Bee Gees' How Deep Is Your Love, and Albert Hammond's It Never Rains in SoCal, and that's just to name a few. There's even an instrumental jazzy cover of Moon River that he did from back when he was 12. His channel's a real treasure trove. I'm almost jealous you're just now discovering him. 😆

If you feel good, happy, relaxed and loved when you listen to his music, Kaze's intention of delivering music is being fillfulled. I am glad you found him. By the way, you've pronounced his name perfectly.

All of Kaze Fujii's songs have his magic. The lyrics of this song are not as refreshing or full of love as other songs, but it is intoxicating music. In fact, the song "I'd rather die" is repeatedly sung in this song, which is scary but haunting. This is just my interpretation, but it actually reminds me of an incident of crazy love that happened in Japan a long time ago. I think the mystery of his songs, where you can't understand them all even if you try to grasp them, is what makes it so comfortable.

regarding the meaning of Shinunoga e wa, it was confirmed by Kaze san that it is not about love. the "you" in the song refers to himself 😊

Hey there, thanks for reacting to my Japanese pop!🙏 The Kanji character for his name, FUJI, is "藤 " . It means Wisteria, a plant. Wisteria, native to Japan, is a large tree with many hanging vines and purple flowers. Many people say FUJI and mistake it for Mt. And the "風 " in KAZE means wind.

Hej Machias, in case you are interested, there is one exceptionally great performance of a song Fujii Kaze wrote for another artist but (as far as I know) never recorded himself... This goes to underline what you already said, he's not only a musician, he's a composer and brilliant songwriter. The lady he wrote this song for goes by the name of Misia", she's one of Japan's greatest divas and has been around for decades. Misia does not only great covers but has quite a number of original songs as well, so for her to decide to sing a Kaze song on THE FIRST TAKE (her second appearance on that great channel, her first song was an original, very touching performance, keep that in mind for another reaction, the first song is called "Ashitae"...). Usually I suggest those songs in the order as they were released, but as you are coming from Kaze's direction I'd suggest to do them the other way round... - I actually didcovered Kaze through Misia's performance of his song, I loved her first one on THE FIRST TAKE, and in the description of the second I read it was not an original but written especially for her by some Fujii Kaze, and as the song (and of course Misia...) was so good in itself I got curios and wanted to see what else this guy had done so far, I thought Misia, as the huge artist she is (mainly in Japan though...) chosing (or even asking Kaze to write for her, I don't know exactly how it went...) his song was a big compliment to his abilities as a writer and composer... That's how I came to discover Kaze, and I love him and his music! Great artist! So here for you is Misia with a song by Kaze...
