Besides Medusa's Mystic Eyes of Petrification it seems her hair can turn into snakes that also turn anyone to stone, if im not wrong(for Rider Spirit Origin im not sure tho)... So that's maybe why Mashu was really worried here... And why Stheno and Euryale was thinking it will be "fun".
