Fujimi Model 1/12 Honda Super Cub "Weathering with You"
The boy and girl ride on the Super Cub are college student whose name is Natsumi Suga, and a high school student whoes name is Hodaka Morishima.
Hodaka ride on the back of Natsumi's Super Cub and I make the scene which they escape from the police car.
However, I had a hard time making the figure, and it ended up being far from the level I could show it to you.
Sorry to all the "Weathering with You" fans.
About the kit
It is a snap kit that can be assembled without painting or gluing, but there are no plated parts.
However, the molding color is nice and the quality of the parts is high.
In particular, I think the molding of the wheels and rearview mirrors is so excellent that there is no need to replace them with metal wires.
It was easy to assemble and was completed in 5 days.
Painting
Frame cover color is Summer pink
This color is obtained by mixing Character Fresh ② and red.
The leg shield is the ecru color, and the plastic molding color is well made, so I coated it with semi-gloss clear.
The actual motorcycle looks like it has been clear coated to the color of the plastic material.
Weathering The engine lightly.
Making
Since it's an anime, it would probably be better to paint this kit in brighter colors than make this kit realistic, but I made it as realistic as possible.
Spoke replacement
The great thing about this kit is the reproducibility of the wheels.
The spokes are thin, and the part where they intersect looks like two spokes intersecting.
It's possible to make it look even better with paint, so I was worried about replacing the spokes, but since it's KZbin, I ended up replacing them.
Spokes: 0.3mm stainless steel spring wire
Nipple: 0.32mm wire sheathing
Engine
I replace All the bolts and I add a stop light spring and spark plug.
Handle Bar
Added throttle cable, brake cable, front cable holder, etc.
Frame cover
Since the frame cover is in two parts, I erased the seam of the frame cover, masked the engine, and painted it.
I attached a key to the leg shield, and since the anime is "Weathering with You'', I made the "teru-teru Bozu" with putty and hung it up.
"Teru-teru Bozu" is difficult to translate for people overseas, but it is a doll that prays for good weather tomorrow.
Figurine
A medium-sized action figurine.
I was told that Sculpey is better than putty for making figurines, so I made the face with Sculpey.
It's definitely easier to make than putty.
In the future, we will shift to Sculpey modeling due to cost and labor considerations.
My immediate goal is to be able to make figurines without stress.
Diorama base
The height of the sidewalk fence is 0.8m to 1.1m, so it will be about 6.6cm to 9.2cm in 1/12 scale.
In the case of a diorama with a small area, the distance between the model and the background cannot be maintained, so if you scale it accurately, the background will look big and feel oppressive, so it is best to reduce the background. It will increase by about 30%.
There are many shrubs for model trains, but we recommend accessories for AFV.
Although it is 1/35 scale, it can also be used for 1/12 scale models for the reasons mentioned above, and the accessories for AFV dioramas are very realistic.
I made The fence with 3mm and 2mm plastic rods and matching plastic pipes.
I made the road with plastic board and plaster, and painted it only with weathering color.
Thank you for all of you!!
