I am visiting Japan and will be in Sabae around the beginning of November. I was trying to look into the local transportation. As I won't have a car. I am excited to see the garden and the pandas but I also am looking forward to maybe getting a pair of glasses made. Would love any insight from a local. Thanks

@MisfitKatt Im not a local of the area but I’m happy to ask my friend that lives there

great video! Fukui so underated and glad covered this time! Eiheiji is one of the most surreal temples and Tojimbo also stunning! Fukui also offers a variety of local foods including ramens! I hope to see more videos like this one Japan has way many more places deserving attention other than Tokyo!

Thank you! I honestly have only done one Tokyo vid for another channel, but personallly I feel it’s too overdone and there is so much out there like Fukui that deserves way more attention! Fukui is top tier for me I love it 😍

While in Katsuyama you should've have gone to 越前大仏 and the the dinosaur museum. Both are worth the trip up there. 👍

This is like watching a full travel show on NHK. Fukui really reminds me of Iwakuni, without the loud ass fighter jets flying above lol

Seems like the place moved you on many occasions, which is a good sign that a place is worth visiting. Thanks for showing us somewhere a bit different and off the beaten track.

Those are my favorite places to visit, the ones that are less traveled and I was surprised that I could be moved that much in a two day trip, really can’t wait to go back 😊

Thanks for the great video again. Can you do 60p videos instead of 30p?
@NomadicGaijin3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately some of my gear maxes at 4k 30p, also the general recommended for KZbin is 30 (or 29.97) I hope I can upgrade the gear more in the future. thanks for the feedback though always appreciated

13:57 The statures were deliberately destroyed when Japanese government (Meiji) made an official policy of separation of Shinto and Buddhism. Anyways nice adventure, I enjoyed it a lot.!

Thank you!!!! I asked a few people and Shoko searched too we couldn’t find the answer, but I makes sense. I knew about the government crackdown no idea why I didn’t consider that point 😅

Nice video. I have lived in Fukui for about 2 years now. It's a good place (to visit). Here are some pros and cons from my own opinion about living in Fukui, if you are interested. Overall, you will have a good time here...for a while. Pros: Amazing food Beautiful nature Decent beaches ...That's it really Cons: Ugly cities (very boxy and industrial looking. This is typical in Japan) A lot of traffic Poorly maintained and designed road systems Crazy snow storms in the winter Poor public transport (you really need a car here) People are very xenophobic About 3.5 hours away from closest international airport The schools are very old with out dated interior as if from the 80's (if you were going to teach here)

I think as a visitor I really enjoy Fukui, but maybe living there would be different

"People are very xenophobic" that is most of Japan.
I’m also here from reddit. I guess it pays to stay up late and watch random people make live videos
