Thank you for your vulnerability Loke! I think a lot of women (including myself) have either struggled or currently struggle with seeking fulfillment from their partner. I love how you said, “The point of marriage isn’t so that you’re fulfilled, the point of marriage is to draw you closer to Christ.” You worded this beautifully and it is a good reminder to search for fulfillment in Christ alone 🙌🏼

Amen! Man God is so good! Here’s my testimony. Last night I was upset and telling God I was upset. Recently I just went through a break up and I hadn’t really dealt with my true emotions of feeling upset and I thought I was upset with the Lord because I thought this lady “completed” me. I began to tell God I want to feel him and that I needed answers basically just being upset. And a sudden moment in my prayer/rant I hear someone say stop and immediately I stopped and God reminded me of the scripture “my peace I give you my peace I leave with you” and at that moment I told God I loved him and thanked him for never leaving nor forsaking me. I thanked him for all blessings and went to bed. I woke up and see this video literally touching on every single point of my prayer/rant I had with Him last night. I just want to say regardless of how heavy your heart is remain in the Lord’s peace and love because that is what truly fulfills us. And Alex and Lok thank you guys for your consistency with the word and your love for our father and each other. God bless you all 🫶🙏🏾

I’ve been going through a financial struggle, and I’m in very high debt. I’ve been praying to God and I’ve been feeling anxious about my living situation and scared I may get evicted. But recently I’ve been hearing God speak to me through others about Faith. He fulfilled me by showing me he’s here, and he hears me. I don’t know when/ how God will do what he does. But I know he is God, and he does many miracles. I know not to put him in a box. But just pray for me and my situation. Thank you for this episode ❤️

21:33 is something I have been thinking about for a while now since I have been in college for the last 3 years. I see so many others with tattoos and I thought it would be a cool thing to get too, but I'll just make it okay by getting a tattoo of a cross or bible verse. I feel like I have tried to find a way to make it okay when this whole time what I've really been doing is trying to overlook the conviction I've had about getting one. It is just a fleshly desire I have to try and fit in more with the world. I am so glad you brought this up and that I was able to get real with myself about it, and to know that it isn't something I should do. I can show others my love for Christ through my actions, not some permanent ink on my skin. I can memorize bible verses and be reminded of important scriptures by opening His word, not by reading it on my wrist in tattoo ink. And please know, I am in no way trying to say there is anything wrong with others who have tattoos, that's a personal thing between them and God, I am only speaking on my own behalf and what I feel that I should do as an individual. Thank you guys so much for allowing God to use you!!

Matthew 9:9 as a brother in Christ I am calling you to read Matthew 9 today. Let the Holy spirt speak to you and just pray to see your calling and purpose that God has given to you as a individual. God has given a diffrent purpose to everyone and see your break as a rejoicement from the dangers that God has possibly brought your from. Don't feel bad for your love unto others but understand some people will remove themselves from you for the light you bring or God will remove them for the darkness they brought. Thank you for this episode! It just really spoke to the Situation I’m in right now! I’ve not „felt“ born again because of the sins I’ve been falling into lately. But what you said about looking at the past evidence made me realize that I was in a terrible place before being born again. Also I was able to relate to the tattoo. Only it’s not necessarily tattoos but more so fashion. I enjoy fashion but I have to admit that I want to be recognized by people as a part of certain fashion niche. I end up feeling inadequate or lesser when I see other people who might I assume might be part of that fashion niche. So I guess my idol might be the thought of others recognizing me as a part of that certain niche community. I want to be fulfilled by Christ and his words alone.

I've been thinking recently about what's necessary for being a Godly family man, and towards the end you talked of that in reference to the "fruit of the spirit". Looking up the phrase in the ESV, it comes up only once in Galatians 5:22, which I'd already seen today as it was verse of the day in a couple of places. Funnily enough, when earlier in the video you mentioned praying to be pointed to help in the Word, I prayed the same. Looks like I'd gotten an answer before even asking!

You know, for this video to have had been posted 6mo. ago and for me to see it now at such a time as this; The other night i was prepping a sermon. I had one ready but it was more so a sermon that I wanted to preach on and share about.. i knew however, that it wasn't something God wanted. So i prayed that God would lead me in His word and show me what does He want me to preach and discuss on. That His words would be mine and that i wouldn't be teaching and preaching out of my own strength. And well this night i was preparing the word being led by the Spirit, revelation after the other, as if i was unlocking a new understanding and everything just flowed so smoothly. I remember i took a moment and paused to just thank the Lord. I told Him specifically that this is what i want. That this was my fulfillment. To be walking in your calling and following unto your lead. Studying your word and preaching/teaching. That when i am with You, when i am in You, I am fulfilled. To now see this podcast come up on my feed and to catch my attention, i am excited as to what is in store to be shared for today. (: God is good. Thank you Lord.

Wow wow wow, this is something I gotta talk to my sisters about. Thank you for speaking on and highlighting these verses, my eyes have not been fully open while reading them, clearly. Can you please speak more on the law, because Jesus tells us to follow it but then we do also know that He does abolish some of it like the food laws. How do we know which to follow and which to not? Are we to wear tzitzit, do cleansing baths (mikvah), and so on?

Quick question Alex. I hear you on your point about tattoos, but in the same passage it speaks of not cutting the sides of hair and the edges of beard. So if we keep the no tattoos rule we should keep that too right? So as not to neglect even those "small commands"? I have tattoos that are Christian and would not mind getting more. I have my own convictions about this, but I am open to hearing others and even changing mine. So I am not on the offensive here. My question came to mind as I was pondering what to had to say about it. I wonder if this was not a law that was necessary to show how set apart the Levitical priests should be compared to the surrounding nations, and that we should take it in a bigger picture to see how set apart we should be as people of God? I look at the principle of first mention, and the fact that it never seems to be mentioned again in the Bible to drive my thinking. Whereas the same cannot be said about the command not to murder or be sexually immoral for instance. Those show up several times throughout the Bible. I would just love to hear your thinking man. PS. I love the show and your lifestyle. Living in Hawaii is a MAJOR dream of mine one day if it is where God calls me. I pray a blessing over you two and look forward to more content from ya! :)

I love what you preached today but did you know that the kingdom of heaven and kingdom of God are two different things ?"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth."-2 Timothy 2:15. There's a thing called dispensasionalism and since I heard of it so many more things make sense in the bible and shows that the word of God doesn't contradict itself .
