I think if DDLC wasn't a horror it would serve decently as a dating VN in its own right since the girls are so well fleshed out.

I woke up during the gameplay, but I’m excited to watch the vod since I’ve never seen these routes myself while playing the game a while back. And again thank you for using my thumbnail for this stream! I wasn’t sure what to really do with it but it was really fun! Also, best girl Sayori needs all the hugs, no further questions.

Otsu on finishing all of the routes! By unlocking all main CGs the ending of this game should be a little bit different. The ending letter will be a new one too, it's very sweet and non-spoilery so you can check that out by yourself without going through the entire game again. The side stories are actually long, like total playtime is 50% of the OG game long, probably a better idea to read them off stream as you've decided to. Once again I really love this game and how they portrayed these characters. They're all colorful and special in their own way, very "anime" but at the same time very relatable. I can see a bit of myself in each of them, Yuri with her anxiety and taste for dark fiction, Sayori with her depression and feeling of unworthy, Natsuki with her need to escape but having nowhere to go and constantly being shaped by her parent, even Monika with being expected to give up on her own wants to just "plays her role", gotta be a President and think of the club and all. This game is already complete as it is but I wouldn't mind having an alternate version where it is a normal dating game through and through. I want to know more about them, give them support and at the end give them a happier future, whether it's love or just being a nice group of friends. How Yuri discovered her fascination for knives and how her friends treated her, how Natsuki's home situation slowly deteriorated forcing her to "escape" to the club, how Sayori would have been if she wasn't left hanging but instead continuing on, how Monika started to realize she's in a video game and how her mindset changed while also flipping back and forth between having attachment for her friends and seeing them as "characters". There are a lot of mods for this game which I'm sure have touched on these subjects but I think it'd still be nice to explore more about their past. These girls have great potential for some amazing character stories if not for being constricted in the main plot's narative (that reminds me I'll have to read up on Yuri's lore again this game is insaneee). Thank you for giving it as much time as you did, the stream today was more cute and wholesome than the normal horror ones haha. I'm glad you like it so much, it's always a good time to watch a visual novel game with you!
