Fulhadhoo, Maldives

In October 2019, I spent six days on beautiful Fulhadhoo Island. Beach, fishing and relaxing vacation, what a great place!

Thanks for watching! 😁 I stay in Three Hearts Guesthouse and it was an excellent choice! A small sandbank next to Bikini beach where you can wade during low tide. There is a current but not dangerous if you know how to swim. Three Hearts can also arrange an overnight stay on a deserted island in a tent if you want to try something different. You can book regular sandbank trips from your guesthouse.

Thank you for watching!🤗 Transfer was $ 55, from Male about 90min by speedboat. It's not difficult but ask the questhouse for a schedule before you booking any flights! The island is good for honeymoon, the beach is amazing and big enough for you to find your own peace! And you can book a romantic dinner on the beach at sunset. Also if you want an experience you will remember for the rest of your life, you can book an overnight stay experience in a sand bank island, just the two of you!🙂

Hi Laura! There are differences between these islands, Fulhadhoo has amazing beach and the island is beautiful and more "developed". Fehendhoo is more of a jungle (= more mosquitoes) and the beaches are smaller but more private. When I was in Fehendhoo, there were only 3 tourists on the island. Fulhadhoo is more popular but still not too much. Fehendhoo has one restaurant, Fulhadhoo only one cafe so dining is at the hotel. Personally I like Fulhadhoo much more. But Ukulhas, Mathiveri, Dhigurah, Mandhoo and Dhangethi are also great options, depending on what you like the most...

@@jarppat.7502 Thanks for such a detailed reply! That's really useful stuff, I think we will go with Fulhadhoo! We were also going to add Ukulhas and Thoddoo in there too, and visit those three islands only. We like clean, private beaches with clear turquoise water for snorkeling and swimming... If you don't mind me asking, which would you recommend based on that?

@@laurjj715 Great, your plan sounds perfect! I think you like these three islands. Ukulhas is clean, the beach is long and the water is clear. The reef is in good shape and has a lot of life. The southern tip of the island has a strong current, so start snorkeling in the middle of the island. There are tourists because the island is popular but you still find your own space. Fulhadhoo is more peaceful. Never been in Thoddoo but I think it´s good too.
