I started off with FATS but then fell in love with TE4 on my Steam Deck due to the ease of modding. Also got TE4 on my console to play with my friends and family.

Finally I see someone mentioning TE4 online. I got 700 hours in career mode (lol), currently doing a career during Big 3 era on Incredible-3 difficulty. The gameplay feel of TE4 with the XKT mode for all the tournaments is insane

with console can u play 2 players without it being split screen? i have the game on pc and when i play 2 player it splits the screen making it too small to se. id like to share the screen but play local 2 player please help

@@LUUWILL yes you can play on the same screen I think. Even on PC you must be able to play the same way? The console versions are almost a direct port so if there's something you can't do on PC, you can't do on console.

That serving system looks almost identical to Hot Shots golf from 25 years ago. I say this as a good thing. Very satisfying!

I invested in Full Ace way back in 2021, trusting a few videos I found online at the time. Well, after more than three years, I can already say that I made an excellent choice. I now have almost 700 hours of gameplay and I NEVER get bored playing this brilliant tennis simulator. I also had the chance to play, in the past, games of the caliber of Tennis World Tour 2, Matchpoint Tennis Championships and the new arrival Top Spin 2k25, but none of these have ever been as enjoyable and realistic to play as Full Ace. From my point of view, the main things that could be implemented are other animations such as sliding on clay courts or simply more animations for each shot depending on the situation (for example, in a difficult ball to catch and caught with a top spin, maybe a more broken and non-standard animation like in a shot in the center of the court) and finally I would implement doubles, which could be a lot of fun, maybe even in online matches. Started to play it 4 or 5 months ago, i'm at 1800 points now! The best tennis game ever made... i can't believe to find a game truly better than Top Spin 4.. this is not an arcade, but a true Tennis experience.

Tiebreak is a risk - currently gameplay is broken and way worse than TE or FA. So for me it would be either one of these two. Which one? Well that boils down to which shot making mechanics sound more appealing to you from a gameplay perspective. Full Ace is imo closer in gameplay than Topspin with shot release timing (if that's something you liked about Topspin)

I would also add if Career mode is important to you and also playing things like doubles, WTA tour.. etc? Also if you are playing on console, TE4 is the best because it lets you mod even on console... I did enjoy FATS as single-player experience for ATP singles matches, but the depth of features that TE4 brings took me to that. The career mode in TE4 is the best. Also getting Tennis Elbow manager 2 and playing that with TE4 adds a whole new dimension. Fantastic combo.

Great review. Looks like I don't need to make one. I already own FATS and fell in love with the tutorial. Just need to make time to play it and get good ad it. Someone sold it to me when they commented on my PES video and said it was the "full manual of tennis games"

great review! however, for us who play FATS, the game is absolutely perfect... you dont need next gen graphics to make the perfect tennis experience... and after all, both new next gen games (TB and 2kTS) doesnt even have realistica body types, clothes or even nice faces fr the main players... so the capability of improving on this game is huge...

Thanks for your comment! For current players, better graphics are not a necessity - indeed, we already enjoy the game regardless of graphical fidelity. But, realistically, the lack of modern graphics in FA does lower the ceiling of game's commercial success.

That's tough question to answer. I go back and forth between these two all the time! The answer to this question is more nuanced than "FA is better" or "TE4 is the best". I have started working on a video comparing the two, where I will give a better answer soon. So stay tuned for that 🙃

Its difficult to find a clear winner between Te4 and Fat. Playing both i think te4 is better with single player career as it has more variation on player archtype on different courts, while Fat is better on multiplayer with its hypnotic ball physics and indepth gameplay balance.

After attempting to fill the void once I was done with Top Spin 4, the internet lead me to this weird game I'd never heard of. 13 years and 1500 steam hours (god knows how many pre-steam) later, I have so much to say, but at the sake of boring, I'll just leave you with one. I.... cannot believe how far back your camera settings are set when playing on the lower field camera... If it works for you brother 😅

I have my settings set on 100 depth -6 height and 46 focus. But that's on my current 65-inch TV setup. On a smaller monitor I have to adjust it. Truth be told I'm never 100% happy and 'focus' has always been a pain in the ass mini game for me to micro-adjust as it has this annoying tendency to stop fucusing depending on the other camera settings. I never use any default settings. I dont know what difficulty level your comfortable at but on harder AI and especially online I'd struggle with your camera configuration. I like your lower camera height btw... but far, far too far back on that low angle to consistantly time the ball, properly react to your opponent and be in the correct position to attack. This is just my opinion of course but I feel over time you'll realise your settings are not optimal.

For people who care mainly about high polygon graphics - no, it won't be better for them. But for players who enjoy quality gameplay and want tennis experience in a video game - yes, absolutely better than both of these titles.

@@machetegaming I think we can’t just chose any game for gameplay only, we also want to see realism of the graphics and animations. Right now I stacked in the middle of two games, TS 2 and Tiebreak and I don’t know which one to choose 😊 Please don’t understand me wrong, I’m not saying gameplay is not important for me, all I need similar to Too Spin 4 but with great roaster.

Great tennis game, maybe the best regarding ball physics for the different types of shots imo. Some matchs can be quite challenging, you have to stay focus to win them but I find it very rewarding and addicting to play, like on a true tennis match. Was bored within a couple of hours of TS2K25, can't get enough of this one. Nice video!
