I remember my first time getting my nails done and I was so stiff and nervous that my hands were shaking really bad lol. They shake anyways because of nerve damage, but it gets worse when I'm nervous. After I got used to what they were doing and them telling me to relax I did as they asked. So it went smoother from there. Now I do my own because I've been to too many chop shops that have cut me (not just with an e-file but a hand file), filed my nails way too thin for adhesion, didn't even push my cuticles back before removing the shine on purpose so that they would lift so you had to go back every two weeks (maybe three if you're like me and your nails grow slow),acrylic on my skin, etc. I got tired of it. So during quarantine I started teaching myself how to do my own. I'm still nowhere as good as you, but I'm getting better. I'm a new subscriber and have a question. Do you remove the dead cuticle first if the client needs it? They came out so nice and you did such a wonderful application!

Yes you remove the dead cuticle off the nail plate during the prep, it helps with lifting. If you see some dead skin poking up from the cuticles at the end you can always go in with cuticle nippers if that's what you mean. That's what I do. Good luck!

Hey sisss, it normally Depends on how many designs I'm doing and how long they get them. I try not to go over 2 hours if I'm doing freestyles that are lengths up to XL. and basic sets like this are usually between 1 hr-1hr 20m depending on length. Trust me, don't worry about the time. If they want quality nails they'll sit and wait!
