I see you have an Indirect Connection when connecting to your Plex server. You'll have to set up port forwarding to fix this so that you can connect directly unless you are with an ISP using CGNAT, then you won't be able to do that unfortunately. Plex has a troubleshooting guide for Remote Access which will lead you in the right direction.

As I mentioned in the video, I do have an ISP with CGNAT (TMHI) but I have overcome it with this small artifact. It actually achieves over 160Mbps of unlimited UpLink Speed, so this is a small price to pay for such amazing speeds. Sure I get that warning but it is ignored an that is the end of it. Thanks for pointing out the fix, that might help some folks.

You vehicle needs to support Apple CarPlay or Android Auto for this particular device to work, but I did upgrade my 2002 Camry using this device kzbin.info/www/bejne/rX_QaI2gid-krLs

This is the video. If you use that special labeled USB port, it will power and connect to your infotainment system in your car. No further wiring necessary! That's what makes it cool.

It uses "car play" or "android auto" but you'll also have to install a file to your android head unit if it's an older model. Think of it this way, this would be the computer that's connected to a touchscreen monitor, what it does is turn your touchscreen car stereo into a monitor for this device, but your car stereo has to have the option to support such a connection. Look carefully again at the video where he shows this is connected to the usb media port if your car has that option to do this.

@@MrWirelesscaller It acts just like a phone. It gains higher priority because it is wired. There is no folder to install. It just mimics a phone running AndroidAuto or Apple CarPlay. I am not doing any tricks, really do you think I have time for that?

I thought it was illegal to play live video in carplay? Only legal in a non moving vehicle for safety reasons.

It is not recommended for the driver to be watching but does it work, hell yes it works. Legal? What does that even mean anymore? Driving 66MPH is illegal too. My soccer coach used to say, "everything is legal, just don't get caught."

My family does road trips across the country and having a movie playing for the kids is a life saver for when they get bored. I just like to listen to the movies. Nothing illegal there my friend.
