I bought the Elsys modem a few months ago after watching your review on it, I live close to a crazy t mobile tower and as of yesterday I got 1220 down and 210 up with a ping of 8 using the t mobile Stockton speed test server. I’m extremely happy with it!

@@PeterC408 yes sir I'm originally from NYC the Bronx. But now I live in the cozy suburbs of the Poughkeepsie. An hour north of NYC. I set up. My folks with the t mobile service. They have a tower right across the street and get 250-300 megs which is plenty for them. They are also paying one forth of what sucky spectrum was Charing them. So thanks for the heads up on the tmoble they are happy 😊

Thanks for the comparison on all that gear. I just got my Elsys Amplimax today. I'm excited to see how fast it is; it's incredible. How well do you think it will go through trees and some buildings in the way?
@PeterC40823 күн бұрын
One person recently reported that they decided to give the Amplimax Ultra a try even though they are outside the posted coverage area and has no cellphone coverage. Now he is getting 90Mps and the product is still in the box! He is delighted. Trees are not generally a problem unless they are PINE trees. Apparently the needles of a pine tree are just about the same length as the wavelengths we are trying to receive and they can cause issues especially when wet. It should still work but that can be the worst case tree scenario.

Another great video...I have added a waveform in the last few months to my standard gateway from tmobile. I'm thinking of upgrading to third party modem. Would you recommend a chester or invisagig or something else? Thanks for your opinion

The best modem thus far has been this ELSYS Amplimax. Not only does it outperform everything else in the suburbs (seen in this video) but it also does better in Rural areas where I have picked up FIVE (5) 4GLTE bands from 7.33 Miles away!! I was getting 94Mbps on a 100Mbps card from over 7 miles away! Right now when you put it in the cart, it takes off another $50. I am not sure where that came from, but I'd take it.

Oh, I get it now you already have a WaveForm antenna. It is indeed a good antenna an a solid investment. I would say hold off a little bit.... there might be something on the horizon that will be the answer to your prayers.

Ok Peter think about it what does Elsys don't have that the other ones do? Answer: No antenna cables, if I'm correct the RJ45 port is 1 gig as well so your limit is 1 gig on Elsys or what ever the RJ45 port max speed is.

The ELSYS Amplimax 5G Ethernet is 2.5Gbps / 1.0 Gb / 100Mb / 10 Mb. It is on the spec sheet but perhaps you could not find it. Here's a link drive.google.com/file/d/1pTUH6QKeY2RrWmt46D5U-Gt-JgeXbPML/view?usp=sharing Please note: spec sheet lists a router that is not part of the USA product. It is a Brazilian thing.

Sorry if I missed it, but do you use the Elsys in "bridge mode"? I know you always used the Yeacomm in bridge mode and you documented the potential access issues that you had once it was in bridge mode, but hadn't heard anything about how that's resolved with the Elsys (or even if it was) thanks for the insight! Just wanted to verify before I order an Elsys as I was hoping to use it in bridge mode
@PeterC40829 күн бұрын
Yes, true bridge mode makes your modem invisible and hard to find once again. It is better to know how to get back from a bridge mode before you go there to begin with. ELSYS has a great reseller, Richard at the Wireless Haven, to help you if you get stuck.

So this is all new to me but based on your videos (thanks!!!) I ordered the T-Mobile 5G Gateway G4SE-1 since it has the connectors for an external antenna and used CellMapper to find a Band 41 and Bands 2/66 towers close by. I was going to order the 4x4 MIMO Panel outside antenna but then saw this video and am a bit confused. It sounds like the Elsys is now the fastest antenna but I'm not sure if it's also a modem or if I need a modem with the gateway. Clarification would be a big help and sorry for the total lack of knowledge! Thanks!!
@PeterC408Ай бұрын
Of all the T-Mobile provided gateways, the G4AR/SE is the best because of the external antennas but... it is still 5G based with a 4GLTe Primary Signal, 5G NSA. 😮 So it isn't even real 5G, 5G SA. When you step up to 5G SA, you will get TWO 5G bands and no 4G. You will see a dramatic improvement in your UpLink speed but the best improvement is less variability of your of your speeds due to less traffic. The internet is like your local freeway. It is faster when no one is using it. This is why people will claim to get 200Mbps during the night and 80Mbps when the really want to use the internet. I get 700s at night and high 500s during the day, which I can live with. Uploads are pretty static at 120Mbps -160Mbps UP!!! Here is a video that I did previously. It shows me testing the T-Mobile provided equipment, then adding an antenna (big improvement) but then going to 5G SA outdoor units... and all with the same SIM and at the same location. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaKtZphurJ2cn9E
@PeterC408Ай бұрын
Just re-read this and let me say that The ELSYS is an outdoor modem that is built into an outdoor antenna. This is a great idea. Normally antenna signals have to be run 20-50ft to the modem inside and this is very expensive and causes huge losses in signal quality. Putting the modem inside the antenna is brilliant. A very low loss signal connection and because it is powered over Ethernet, you can easily run up to 300 ft away using inexpensive Ethernet cable. I am getting some seriously amazing scores and expect it to only get better as time goes on. The 4GAR is good but it is still based off of 4G technology as the primary signal. The ELSYS modem will take the same SIM card and make it work a whole lot better.

Are you using the TMO home internet sim and the Business (non static IP) internet sim? The reason I ask is I was under the impression that TMO both home and business uses 4g as the backbone and 5g as the enhancement. As in 4g PCC, 5g SCC. With your tests you're using all 5g channels. EG; 41 and 25. TMOI doesn't allow that, as far as I'm aware unless you're using a phone/tablet sim. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
@PeterC408Ай бұрын
I have used both of those Sims in this unit. T-Mobile service can be unlocked using 5G SA and bands like n77 phone just don't do it

what does the t-mobile box get in these same conditions? I'm getting 520up/80down with the T-mobile Sagecom. I'd like to get away from the T-mobile forced router but can't decide if the x62 would be enough or if I would really benefit from the x75 chip

No one that doesn't even need to be a T-Mobile sim. It works equally well with AT&T and Verizon cards. The reseller is very good at helping you get it to work with whichever service you have. T-Mobile has a phone network which can deliver Internet, I don't see them offering Fiber but never say never. People have been able to pull signals from Miles with this thing.
