You may not be what YOU call a professional, but you’re definitely not what I would call a typical DIYer, for sure. When I watched you tape off that skylight to bring it to its current glory, I was like uhnhuh…that is NOT a regular DIY project. So, I guess you’re a professional DIY artist! Anyway, your kitchen is an art piece, and like someone else said, it will be on Pinterest forever!❤

I predict you're going to absolutely thrive as a youtuber. ☺ Also, thank you for sharing all of this with us- filming undoubtedly adds a lot of time to what are all ready very time consuming projects- its very kind of you to give us a window in.

Im not being critical, please don't think I'm being rude. Oops, I found it on your home page. Thank you for such a lovely video, Justin.

*Magical Transformation* . Your attention to every small detail truly makes this an epic space. The sky light garden and window are my favorites, the additional lighting was definitely needed and looks fabulous. A "jewel box" as a functional kitchen.... Love ♥.

I love how you finished the kitchen. The range hood cover looks absolutely amazing, like the apartment people should have done. Glad they let you fix up real nice, and if I were them, I would keep it like that for the next tenant, if you moved out. You made that whole apartment so nice and lovely. The complex people would be so impressed at the work you did to make that come out so nice, including the air conditioning unit in your bedroom. They should be thankful that you did what they should have done. I have watched your videos of the makeovers in your living room, and bedroom as well as the dining room and entry area, and I am so impressed. Love the work you did in the skylight, very creative and artistic on the skylight window, and the walls leading up to the window, love that green tile. If I had a skylight window, I would want to put some UV protective window film on it. That would be helpful as well. It can tone down the harsh light from outside as well, and it looks like you accomplished that with your decorative piece in the skylight. I also love the lighting strip with the solar connector, great idea. Great job!!!! The floor looks great too as does the fridge, it makes it look so modern with the black contact paper (wrap). The black fridge looks really nice with the rest of the black built-in appliances. I have a black shiny Magic Chef fridge myself (I had a white one before, but it quit working and bought a more modern and roomier one). (I would have love to replace that stove top with an LG 36" Induction cooktop), as I am an Induction cooktop, kind of gal. I have two NuWave round Induction Cooktops and just love them. I love the peel and stick countertop paper you installed over what was there before. I would want to cover them too. I didn't care for the countertops they had in the apartment. I really love the look of your peel and stick. Much, much, much better than what was on there before. I also love the new lights and faucet and soap dispenser. The electrical tape was a great idea to cover the white seal of the fridge. Your choices were so much better and really looks great. You did a great job on not just the kitchen but the whole apartment and on the deck outside as well. That sliding glass door sure came in handy to carry items in and out. I also noticed your book by Joanna Gains. My family members and I went down to their Silos in Waco, Texas. But we did not get to see Chip or Joanna there. This was back when their show was still on HGTV. They really elevated Waco with all those homes that they renovated.

Congratulations on your kitchen remodel! You are very talented. I have two things for you to consider- I'd move those cutting boards, I think they detract from the clean look of the space. And I know you love plants- my scissors are my best friend with my plants. I cut off all of the yellow and browned leaves (like they do in the nurseries) and the plants look better. I can't wait for the dining room! Thank you.

Justin, thank you very much for showing us how you used contact paper. In my family, contact paper was only used for lining cabinets/drawers. I have an IKEA Lack "floating" shelf in white that I have wanted to refinish for quite some time. I finally selected a black wood-look contact paper to cover the shelf. I can't tell you how happy I am with the finished product. Thank you again for your inspiration! Mark

Ha I was one of the people who suggested the black electrical tape! That video was the first one of yours that I saw and it reminded me of my sister and I in the 1980’s doing similar things in our rentals. I thought of the black electrical tape because Lone Fox did that on all of his white grid windows in his rentals (before he got rich and bought his own place!) But don’t get me started on that place - he thinks he lives in a medieval castle 😢

Amazing what one can do with a rental kitchen and a landlord open minded enough to let you work your magic. The green color of your kitchen reminds me of when I lived in the UK and a color that is wonderful. Everything you have done is great. We get it, that you have styled the kitchen for show but when it comes time to cook and entertain guests is a different matter. You are a brave man for changing out that kitchen faucet. No way would I attempt that myself and yes realize that it is a DYI sort of job. Maybe when I was your age........ Glad that my kitchen is "DONE" for my lifetime.
@DesigningTheDream892 ай бұрын
Haha changing the faucet may have been the easiest part of this make over!! But plumbing can definitely be scary- my dad taught me well!
@kennixox2622 ай бұрын
@@DesigningTheDream89 Good for you! You are a brave person. Just about do a sink, faucet, disposal replacement and will feel better letting a pro plumber deal with it as they do that sort of thing on a daily basis. Appaluds for those who can DYI. 😀

I used a car wrap ordered from France sent them the dimensions of my American two door fridge freezer and because I wanted this mural they sent it out and I wrapped it infront of my family and it kept going strong for ten straight years and I only removed it because I put the fridge in the conservatory and moved house car wrap is a fantastic durable material and can be sourced in so many colours patterns and a heat gun or hair dryer will just help it mould around corners and if your wondering my fridge was immaculate when I pulled it off no sticky residue looked brand new .

🙌🏽🤌🏽bravo bravo!! Beautiful👏🏽🤌🏽 Done with ease. I watch this whole series with my mom, because she loves Green, but this Green is a show stopper, stand alone, not a bossy boring Green, lol. We Loved it. Very classic, bold, and with character so hard to do but you made it look so easy. Thanks for the inspiration . We Love the skylight, the marble tile as well. Because i have this tile, but you inspired me to go all the way up with it. Im so not ready to take this contact paper off, but the show must go on.🤞🏽 You have new Buddy to your channel. Love the way you explained and showed your process.
